That was hillarious, the whole KFC thing, frying the egg, plucking the hackle......is that hen imprinted on you since hatched ? You are right about finding fishing partners btw. Keep an eye out for bald eagles and foxes, would hate to see your chicken choked LOL. That steelie was beautiful.

Captain Quinn may be the first and only fly angler to throw a spey with a chicken on their back and head, that's pretty cool. And if he isn't the first fly fisherman to do so ..... that's even cooler.

Just an incredible bond between fisherman and fowl. I’ve seen surfing dogs and some dogs that catch fish but they’ve got nothing on Poncho! She really is one stoic mother clucker! I hope there is a sequel or something.

Im also a KZfaqr and would love to try to collaborate with you someday if you are interested. Im an avid 2-handed steelheader over here in Michigan and would love to come out there make some content and do some fishing with you. I'm a woodworker/metal worker/maker of things and have already done some really cool fly boxes, and have plans of making a click and pawl reel with Speyco (if youve seen his reels) and also a bamboo spey rod. Your one egg short of a full dozen Sir! Great video I chuckled all the way through. One question the antique wood spooled spey reel you were using, did you ever land a fish with it, and how old is it? (OK 2 questions I count like a chicken! :) )

@@TheCaptainQuinnI would have guessed way older than 40, I was thinking closer to 80-100 years old. Just a rough guess on my part. I am by no means an expert. I just purchased an old Shakespeare Wonder rod, the old all fiberglass and that is 50 years old.(built in April 1950). so looking at an old wood spooled reel like that I would hazard a guess at maybe pre WWI...?? It's awesome it still works to catch fish for you.
