I’m from PSL,Florida, and we had Rivergate Park boat ramp, and it looks just like this one, mangroves and all. Anyway, after we came in, truck, boat loaded on trailer already parked in the farest part of the parking lot, we’d grab the beer cooler, sit back, and watch the show from the benches they had there! They really should’ve been called BLEACHERS, as it kinda got the reputation of a spectator sport! Memorial Day weekend was by far the best! Words cannot describe it! Too much laughter going on it was just comical sometimes! People launched boats without drain plug in, boat escapes into mangroves, and engines get stuck in branches, people get out of vehicle, and vehicle slowly starts too, well, you know. I think that the best one I heard was, “ Hey, do you have the ignition key?”

Jet ski trailers are 100x harder to back than a full boat trailer.

When backing a trailer crank the wheel stop to stop it really helps.

A few orange cones and an empty parking lot are the best place to practice trailer backing.

The Jeep guys not only had the drop hitch on upside down, which maybe they did on purpose to lower the back of the trailer, the coupler was sitting on top of the ball. One good bump and they'll be getting a surprise.

Un-hitch the trailer from the Jeep and walk it down the ramp to the water then hook the Jeep back up. It's going to be tough backing that trailer when you can't see it in your mirrors until it's already jackknifed.

For me, the funniest thing about these videos is the fact that of all the trailers you will ever back up in you life, the easiest ones to back up are boat trailers. The longer the trailer the better. The key is to never turn your wheel more than a quarter turn in either direction. Go past 90 degrees on the wheel and you lose the trailer.

something i have noticed on your videos is that when someone is reversing the trailer into the water, they backup with the entire wheel and hub underwater? just over the rubber is plenty enough. especially for small boats and jetskis

Hey, hey, hey! I’ve used a U-Haul before: easier and cheaper than bothering a friend when my truck is otherwise disposed.

I don’t understand how these people struggle so much with backing a trailer up. It’s not the EASIEST thing ever but it’s certainly not hard by any means. If you’re new to it the first thing I learned was put your hand at the bottom of the steering wheel and if you turn your hand left the trailer will go left, turn right the trailer will go right. Makes it much easier

The shorter the trailer is, the trickier it is to back up. Its objectively easier to back up a 52 foot trailer than a 10 foot utility trailer.

Is it legal to fit a tow hitch on the front of your vehicle for boat launches there?

In Florida do people have to take a boaters safety course to operate a boat, if so that will explain it
