In Guy Martin's very first Channel 4 speed adventure, first broadcast in 2014, he attempts, with the help of slipstreaming, to break the British record for outright speed on a bicycle: an incredible 110mph. British Olympic track cyclist Laura Trott helps him get fit enough. To watch the full episode, click here - bit.ly/2xYGYVs

@Bob Dobalina "How could anyone tell that was a joke" You don't know that is a joke and jokes don't always start the way you think they should. Look at your responses when you can't answer you go right to the name-calling. Explain yourself without talking shit. You will be taken more seriously. I mean not now, you showed your true colors, but the next joke they fly's over your head don't be such, well what you call others.

Sheila Morrison not saying it was intelligent but when I use to ride a motorcycle on very cold days I would pick a big rigs on the highway who looked to be on the cruise and would get as close as guy behind it, and all the winds just stop, and it was getting hot really quickly, some times we would go up to the driver and with signs we ask the guy to follow him , ( when the driver know, he’s more careful about stepping on the brakes abruptly, and sometimes when we we’re really good buddy’s who knew each others for long times, you developed some kinda chemistry and you trusted more than others, at one times we were 3 buddy’s on the back of the truck at not even 2 feet of the Riggs and about the same form bike to bike , the one who was in the middle had it a bit more intense than the 2 others on each side’s. 😂😂😂😂😂 Sure that we don’t deserved a medals for doing so, but damn we’ve had fun. 😂😂😂😂👍👍👍. And it was so less freezing.😂😂😂 As we took off, of behind the truck we normally signaled the driver by either flashing the high beams to him or salut him as we pass him, 9 out of 10 times he saluted us bye, or when I wasn’t freezing anymore as soon as I switch lanes for behind him I would pop a wheely while passing the drivers and also looking at him during it with a sign from the head most of themes we’re blowing theirs horns in a pomp pomp pomp pooooommmmmppppppp, with a big thumbs in the air. Just with the respect of others and simply asking for little things, you can achieved great things, instead of always trying to piss further than the next guy beside you, sadly today’s it seems like most peoples have lost this.

@@claudebaron9525 I once moved with my dad, he drove the box truck and i drove my smaller suv. I told him i was gonna save fuel by riding tight on him. We drove almost 300 miles with me as close to him as i could get. He seen my headlights once the whole trip. I saved about 5 gallons of gas doing this. The downside though is if there had been any emergency braking i didnt have the time to stop likely before hitting the van.
@claudebaron9525
@claudebaron9525 4 жыл бұрын
chapie62 i totally understand you, but it still kinda stupid to do, but sitting in a SUV Is still way less scarier and you risk way less too, If you touch the truck in front, you probably will be way more scared then hurts even if the big Riggs brakes because your so closes to him that you probably won’t even damaged your SUV, but with a byicycle, or motorcycle if the front wheel touch it, it’s Bye Bye in a major way, because the only protection you have is a helmet and a leather suits ( if your lucky enough to have a leather suits 😂). On another way a full leather suits like guy have, is way more protective that what most pepoles think, I had one of thoses, and many of my friends and my girlfriend had told me to stop wearing it on the streets, because when I was wearing it, I became even more crazy than usually ( already not a good thing 😂). When I wear it I was feeling like a GOD, kinda like I was immortal, look at some motorcycles racing and you’ll see how often you will see a guy crash at 100 mph and +, and 9 times out of 10 when the rider stop thumbing, he stand up quick and start to run after his bike, thinking he would get back on it and catch the others, and those are not small crashes, but like I said pretty much all racers have this little part of the brains missing, because when you crashes at high speed, and the first thing you want to do is get back on it ( or in it ) this doesn’t mean proof of high intelligence, i know it sounds funny because I’m one of themes, but hey we have to be realistic it is what it is, and I am what I am, but like I use to say, If I ask you to : described your life, in just 1 phrase. ............ mine is : WHAT A RIDES ! 😂😂😂👍👍👍👍👍👍

Instead of using a Wall they could use a wedge shaped air deflector .. They could also Have a flat plane under the truck to keep the dust from flying up .. Not sure about the rule, but many things could be done to make cleaner air where the bike is by defelcting the air away .. could actyally crate a vaccum to pull the bike along..

I’m enjoying the bike so far kzfaq.infoUgkxMesz3KOGEmwmvyKQfLfrRSUXLFzfVHZA My only real complaints are the brakes and the pedals. I feel like a bike designed for bigger people should have much larger pedals and more heavy duty brakes. I’ve only gotten two really good rides out of it, minimal downhill action, and the brakes feel like they’re already going out. A larger person has more momentum, so I think this wasn’t thought through very well. Also, I wear size 13-14 wide shoes. My feet cramp up on these pedals that are clearly made for smaller feet. Since I’m not a pro rider (and I don’t think many are who purchase this bike) I don’t think that the straps on the pedal are necessary at all. None of this takes away from the enjoyment I get from riding, however. I’ll just head to a bike shop to improve on a few things.

1: outright speed record. 2: making two runs is mostly about wind and incline. Not exactly relevant when you have a 6 ton truck pushing all of it out of the way on a perfectly level beach. 3: any competent GPRS receiver is perfectly capable of making thousands of measurements for that run.
