I’ll add an update if the motor fails prematurely. I got it back in the door and it has been working as it should.

Is that the actuator for the rear tailgate door? You replaced only the motor using the original actuator? THe dealership told me I needed to replace the actuator for the tailgate door on my 2012 GX460. Part 398$ , labor 400$. Ridiculous. I'll give this a shot. THanks for the vid.

This was the drivers door actuator motor. I replaced the motor only using the original actuator.

I would think it would be similar, but I’m not sure if the actuator mechanism is exactly the same?
