In this video we showed you how to do correctly technique Gyaky-zuki and give you some exercises that we prefer to use in our training process.
In my opinion Gyaku- zuki is the best karate technique for anticipation.

Nice video. Great quality. Please also add more advanced content too. Maybe you could review of one of your competitions? Techniques you used, applying pressure, analyzing opponents, etc.

I just found this channel, am new to Karate and just started doing local competitions with people around my grade first Tournament I did win silver and get to the final. Thanks Anzhelika. Your videos are very helpful for people starting out in Kumite like myself who just want simple explanations of correct technique. I had my first Kumite competition fight on the weekend - is it neccessary that the punch be pulled back to the hip/waist after making contact with the opponent in order to score a point? I ask this as i executed a very good Gyako Zuki Jodan but pulled the punch back to my shoulder rather than hip/waist before raising that arm in the air appealing for a point, but was not given it. The referree told me afterwards it was because i didnt pull back the punch to my hip/waist although i cannot find anything in the rules on the internet that says that the punch needs to be pulled back to the hip/waist to score. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated =)

This is so hard honestly to teach from KZfaq, but with trainings you will raise and you can win without any analysis (even it’s great to do before competition) because you are top! 🙂

Hand drops before executing the punch. Her punching speed can be improved if she corrects this micro mistake. She also drags her dorsal which is bad, staying on her toes on the hind leg would be best for stability.
