a lot of the challenges shown require balance, and a specific "dexterity" with your body, same with body building exercises or any other movement. The funny thing is, "body building's" isolation exercises would probably be a better way to test for strength, as they are a purer form of strength, each exercise is a simple movement of a specific muscle. Although even in that case you need some practise to be able to contract just those muscles on their own at their full potential (but require far less practise than compound exercises or these challenges). Gymnastics or Calisthenics are just a hobby, a fun way to exercise and also be able to do some tricks/acrobatics. Body building is a very broad term, and ideally a body builder's training consists of the best way to get your muscles bigger or get your strength higher, many people don't want to accept the fact that the most efficient way to do that isn't Gymnastics, or Calisthenics, or anything other than the "boring" lifting weights, pulling cables, etc...

DaddyKZreadytoPLAY he was doing most of them with terrible form and that made it easier on him. The plank one is pretty obvious too, his butt is too high and that takes stress of the abs which is the whole point of the workout. To be fair, this a dumb challenge in the first place and body builders don’t belong in this setting of exercises unless they’re a hybrid type that do everything (this guys isn’t lol)

Deen van Midden that’s valid but if the form is right it’s is a lot harder to do than a if a form is bad take basic push up for example if you go halfway down vs all the way down it’s always harder to go all the way down same with these workouts. I understand that body builder doesn’t do these kind of activity regularly thus have weaker tolerance due to lack of core but if one person is doing it right it’s not fair for the other to claim that it’s his victory, because it’s literally not scaled

OP is angry because using "little girl" as an insult is not ok. It's implying that being a little girl is embarrassing and pathetic. Since he is referring to a man, he should have said "little boy" (if anything). But saying "little girl" to a man implies that little boys are better than little girls, and so being called a little girl is worse than being called a little boy. It's the same thing that's wrong with that deodorant commercial that used to say "strong enough for a man, but made for a woman." Again implying that women are lesser than men. I'm sure I'll get a lot of immature replies from immature people who just truly don't get it and nothing anyone can say will make them understand. So I wont be wasting my time with any more replies, but good luck to those stuck in that way of thinking.

Well, I hope people are intelligent enough to know just how poor a representation of a competition this is. Both athletes are competing with certain movements, but half of the time they are doing them differently from each other. The gymnast is clearly using more muscles and good form, while the body builder is just half assing reps that most would say are “no reps”. Set a standard for the movements and stick to them. And set a standard that makes sense. For instance, in the plank adding 150 lbs to a 190 lb guy is not nearly as big of a difference for adding 140 lbs to a 160 lb guy. Poor form on the inverted pull-ups makes them significantly easier. Even with the ring muscle ups, the gymnast was doing plank holds into them, which are significantly harder than what the body builder was trying to do. There is no standard set between the two athletes. Just the body builder making up rules to best suit him. Make the challenge fair, and the two athletes would’ve probably tied or Nate would’ve won. Chuck winning: pushups (last push-up was almost a pull-up), maybe pull-ups unless you count some potential “no reps”, sprint, and tucks based on the rules set (though that of Nate’s were more accurate & Chuck had atrocious form). Nate winning: inverted pull-ups, ring muscle ups by a landslide, plank, and hanging from the bar. Overall, the gymnast had the most accurate tucks (and reps) and significantly better form. Challenges are fun, but let’s make them make sense. Be fair. Don’t be a bitch.
