Charging money won't fix anything. These women are getting tons of money from simps, so they have plenty to pay the bill, and all that will happen is they'll feel more entitled to take up space there because they're paying to film.

Agreed, but an increase to a fee per day could force them to think about is the membership worth the constant charge to everyday use. Plus owner can descide to keep increasing said charge too. Owner could also force client to use and rent their filming equipment only and create constant stipulations. Heck owner could create a room especailly for them and rent it out per hour. Complete with windows that are obscured from their end meaning they cannot be seen by anyone.

I hate the following: > there is a men space > women want to join the man space > men are ok > women overflow the man space > women destroy a place > rules that reduce freedom are introduced > women complain the place is not good anymore I mean, there should be no necessity for a tripod but there are MEN who are genuine and just want to record their progress. For some reason, we can say stuff like "men are not allowed here/there" or "men are not allowed to do this/that" but we cannot say the same for women. We need to come up with "safety" and "privacy" rules that impact also honest people who just want to get the best from their gym experience. Ah, the patriarchy...

This has been the default for the last 100 years. Men go to a space, women invade it. Sometimes with the help of the courts even. This is why, when SHTF, a lot of men are going to refuse to help them. They have watched every safe space in their lives get invaded, why would they ever want to help women?

@@Moloco. What I meant, we can just put rules such as "women not allowed to record", or "recording allowed only under supervision of staff". What I mean is that rules can be discriminatory against men but never against women and we need to come up with weird safety rules.

Seriously, why? Not at the gym enforcing boundaries, but these MCS-types (main character syndrome) thinking they need to record every minute of their lives, like it will go into some sacred archive centuries down the line. You're into CrossFit, big deal, it's your right. But that is no excuse to behave so condescending or better-than-thou to the rest of civilization.

Imagine if you had to wear a numbered shirt when going into the gym as part of the dress code and when someone is seen doing something like not putting away weights or wiping down equipment, someone from a loudspeaker PA system can call out "HEY NUMBER 24! WIPE DOWN THE MACHINE YOU JUST USED! KAY THANKS" Public shame sometimes will keep everyone else in line.

@@MrShwaggins Ofc I use my personal towel with sanitizer after a full set is done that standard for a gym. But to wear a number and be degraded as a human AND pay them for that? I must be insane to accept something like that when a health club membership is a lot better.

Gyms still do not get it, you know they are going to film and say they have consent without getting it and its still going to be on the people who do not want to be dragged online by the influencer for either glancing their way or not being the perfect specimen in public to make the complaints so people, those couple times a week for maybe a couple hours who make up the majority of their income are not going to return.

I've been going to the gym for close to 6 months now and only once last monday, I took a single image of myself in the men's dressing room to compare it to where I started in August, and I couldn't shake that feeling of being a narcissist doing so. didn't make huge strides imo in terms of body development but the pot belly seems to be tucking in while the chest is squaring up, so at least there's some progress.

I've noticed that I almost never see guys flex in the mirror at the gym anymore, which I used to do just to check progress. Virtually 100% of the self admiration comes from female patrons now.

Women will fight this like they fought against various gyms' dress codes and won and they refuse to use women only gyms. Women are also the ones who create businesses that make "workout apparel" that pretty much show the goods. The irony is that some of these women who own these companies are or were models who also shamed male gaze or labeled men as creepy for looking.

maybe it's just my gym, but here in montreal, the only people i ever see filming are powerlifters checking their form. i have never seen anyone used a tripod ever. and there are plenty of scantily clad thots around too, it's not a black iron gym.

Here's what they could do. Ban recording except during specific hours that are non-peak times. Have signs up stating no recording is permitted most of the time so there will be no complaining if people are told to stop. Likewise have the recording times clearly laid out and maybe go with that fee for tripods and such, so again people won't be able to complain about the recording going on. If they had the space and resources, they could have a recording and no recording area. These could be separated by a wall or screens or the like. Also I'd ban recording in bathrooms and locker rooms on general principle.

My only issue is the owner saying a gym is a sacred place. No, its a business, you have paid staff and i had to pay a membership fee to use it. That membership fee includes cleaning and sanitation of the equipment and facilities. Should you put your weights back and clean the machine? Sure. Are you actually paying for someone else to do it? Yeah, you actually are.

🤔 honestly though, who didn't see something like this happening eventually? At least half, if not the majority, of most gyms customer base is men and too many women have been using their ability to film in gyms to shame guys for nothing more then a glance in their direction as a way to get views. Even worse when many of the women who do that are also wearing something outlandish.

its sad that gym owners have to basically ban filming in the gym due to the people who don't respect other people's privacy. its even sadder that those that do want to film to show how to lift weights or do a set properly have to go up to the front desk to ask for a permission slip and pay for it. instead of those people going to the gym have common courtesy and a decent set of morals the gym owner has to dictate out rules for members to follow due to the bad apples who ruin good things for others. I do understand why he had to mandate this due to the bad actors/people making clout videos but its still sad to see it be this way.
