The way they dress for a wedding showing that much skin like they are going to the beach, is totally tacky and classless. And the way the mothers dress the little girls, sexualizing them, is beyond understanding. No freedom, have to be told what to do, do all the chores, take care of all the children, sexualised at a young age by family, friends and strangers, sexual assault (although they call it 'grabbing' which I'm sorry but it's still assault from a moral standpoint) and if they even dare to; continue school, divorce, date or marry later in life rather than as youngsters: they are belittled for it. It’s quite interesting to me that a couple of girls have referred to other women as “tramps” when their own community of women wear extremely tight in ittybitty clothes with extremely high heels. So how are you going to call people tramps because they are wearing shorts dresses when you have 10 year olds wearing shorts with their butt cheeks hanging out? I mean, I really don’t care what people wear. If you choose to wear itty-bitty dresses or shorts with your butt cheeks hanging out or your boobs hanging out that’s your prerogative. That’s your choice. Because I also like to wear things that are revealing sometimes. But I don’t think it’s fair to call people tramps just because they are not in your community even though they are wearing the same thing that people in your community would wear, or maybe even more covered up than people in your community would wear. It’s quite hypocritical. So the girls in this video were saying women were either way under dressed, or Wayover dressed. There was no in between. There were no compliments for anybody everybody there was either underdressed or overdressed. Yet I didn’t see a video clip of anybody saying that they looked like they absolutely didn’t belong there. I didn’t see anybody saying that they looked weird in that environment. Because honestly, those clothing choices did not belong in that environment, but nobody was as rude as those girls were. I hope nowadays they have matured and would not be calling people tramps and acting like they are so much better than everybody else. And then also talking about the people that have drank a little bit too much. I’m sure every single one of them at this point have drank too much multiple times. But I highly doubt they would take responsibility for her being drunk or wearing clothes that others would seem inappropriate. But yet they wanna judge everybody else. I really hope since it’s been over 10 years. These girls have all grown up and are not as judgmental as they are in this video. It would be sad if they haven’t.

This is the most disgusting saddest thing how they exploit these children at such a young age, and how the men can just grab these girls whoever they want it’s just disgusting. I agree with you! I don't see how their customs can survive in this modern time. Marriage at 15, 16 isn't even legal in most states. However, on the plus side these girls are actually a little prudish. There are very few out of wedlock pregnancies. Part of their culture demands they remain virgins. They all have big loving families. It's sad yes. Especially the lack of education. But it is what it is.

I thought those were two diamante-encrusted life preservers. My bad. I'm rather surprised that Biddy's group had such a poor time of it - perhaps they were in a bad mood from missing so much of their day getting ready. Other travelers dressed up and partied and had the best time, ever. As to the wedding, I felt so bad for Biddy. For her, the day seemed more like a salmon swimming against the stream. Why would a dressmaker create a 140# dress? Poor girl.

Favourite animals my foot! You should see the poor abandoned wrecks of horses and dogs that travellers dump when they are no use to them anymore. The horses they force to gallop on tarmac roads get injuries that go untreated, they don't look after their dogs properly, and I 've seen dogs and horses beaten, kicked, whipped and underfed. The RSPCA have had to care for the poor animals after they've been "loved" by travellers.

@Anastasia Beaverhausen Absolutely agree. I have rescued dogs dumped by travellers, and the makers of this very TV series showed a scene when one of the boys snatched a girl's dog from her, and hurled it into a lake. The girl protested a bit, but clearly thought the boy a fine brave "man" for such an "heroic" act. I fail to understand why apparently decent people want to defend and affirm this sort of behaviour.

Those wedding dresses are outrageous. Why does everyone have to be so overboard? The wives always end up spending all their time cleaning and cooking, taking care of the kids, and being a "slave" for the husband. They can hardly move or get in and out of vehicles in those dresses. You can have beautiful wedding dresses without going to such extremes. Glad I'm not a gypsy. My husband treats me with the highest respect and I worked, took care of our kids, we both cooked, helped clean and keep the house up, and have had 46 years of an exceptionally happy marriage. Our Christian faith is also a strong part of our relationship. Now enjoying spending time traveling and with the grandkids.

So, if a woman is beautiful, she's auto a decent person? Weird logic. They get a bad rep because even the decent ones who work good jobs and don't go around beating people up still leave trash on public areas and are a general nuisance with noise pollution. They also cause huge issues for farmers by parking on their private land they need for business and refusing to leave. And those are the "good ones". The scouts group in my city has had massive issues with travellers breaking into equipment stores and stealing small fortunes, but they never get prosecuted because even the "good ones" won't break ranks to stop actual crime
