Did you shoot this in 8K on the Samsung Galaxy S11? It's impressive that you can squeeze all of that into such a small file size, however the video is really crunchy with any dark images. I'm curious how the compressed file looks like against the original.

yea, what computer these days able to play a 'floppy disc' would be able to play a H.266 8k video?. Uploaded 8 days after completion of final standard of the VVC H.266 codec from Fraunhofer HHI, more suspicion. So just 8kb for every second of 8k quality = a 90min 8k movie at around total of 43mb. Even more suspicion. Some sort of NSA recruitment competence test is it. A Will Smith/Agent J pulling the table over to his seat moment is it?.

Some people tell it is impossible but do you see how much the quality is poor ? Not very difficult to encode 8K at very low bitrate losing most of the details/informations. So it could be possible to get that bad quality with a very very good codec. Or perphaps it is a fake.

People don't fall for this... The description says MB. I think he is probably rather talking about GB... This is in no way possible.

1380KB / 173 seconds = 8KB per second!! or 64Kbit per second, for comparison an bog standard MP3 is 128Kbit and that's just audio. Is it available to download and test? I bet you can't play it back without converting it again.

How soon can we get the codec to convert, save and play videos? I do mean the H.266 codec. The only downside I see is that a lot of smart TVs don't have it. One workaround would be to use a PC or Mac to do the decoding and just output video to the TV. That is just until they get a software update to playback the video or you finally got a TV that can play them. I still have a 1080p TV that won't play H.265 (it would have to be the display of a computer or receive the stream from the network)
