Great build. Another reason not to glue the turtle deck on is it looks like there is a light that needs to bee installed under it with a hole and wiring channel on the port side.

I am deeply impressed by how good this model looks at this stage- yes there's some inaccuracies but the attention to detail is marvellous. Which makes the hideous astrodome all the more jarring, it ought to look almost separate from the canopy, not some extruded afterthought. Loving this series Nige, your engineering background and fastidious attention to high level accuracy will turn this model into a real show stopper.

Sorry for the misunderstanding Nigel I have contacted Hachette and they stated that they are not going to release the Lancaster in Australia, but my question is why do they have details in the book anyway it is what it is when your the ass end of the world awesome work mate as always.

Nigel do not glue the turtle deck , as i understand it there shoud be an Led to light the cockpit , there is a channel to run cable on the starboard ? side green frame work im guessing that the LED will be hard to place if the turtle deck is glued into place

Awesome build Nige, love it. One question, what is the material you use for the bench top? It looks really tough and may be a good choice for my new bench. Cheers mate.

Nigel there’s a yt channel called FunFillums which has a colour (original ?) late war propaganda film posted oct 23. Not sure if you’ve seen it, but thought it might be if interest.
