The good thing is that it's one of the EASIEST hacks to do on the fly. All you need is some heavy monofilament leader material and a little DIY know-how.
Jigheads are one of the most important elements of every inshore fisherman's tackle box. They're critical for getting your bait to the bottom as you work in depths that weighted hooks are too light for.
However, the exposed hook of traditional jigheads can cause problems when your fishing lure comes across loose grass. You can switch to a weedless football jig if you have some or take a minute and make a quick adjustment.
