4 жыл бұрын👋 Lets hack into the computer on my A90 MK5 Toyota Supra!! Turns out... It really is a BMW! But these changes are awesome!! In todays video I use the super cool app called BimmerCode!! This is a program that allows you to hack into the computer of your BMW! Since the A90 Toyota GR Supra is a BMW when it comes to the electronics, this app is actually able to be used on the MK5 Supra! I have the full app on my android device and connected it to my OBD2 Bluetooth adapter. Using the app I can adjust a few fun things within the Supra. My favorite thing is allowing the auto start stop feature to have a memory! One of my biggest complaints with the Supra is the auto start stop. If the engine is cold, I really don't want it shutting off. So now I can have it remember the last position I had it on. If I am in a lot of traffic with long stops, I'll manual turn that system back on. But since the majority of the time I have it off, It will be off the next time I hop in my Supra!!

I liked changing the display brightness. I also killed the sound being piped into the cabin,. I’m with you on the auto stop. The thing I liked the most after that was stopping the alarm from beeping when I armed or disarmed, that was so annoying. Good job on the video.

I know!! Hated that! Even pulling into my driveway, since I have to go so slow, then engine would cut off and then split second later turn back on. Way too sensitive

Using this App and Adapter, I can also go under 'BMW Z4' and change many other items not shown in the video! Seatbelt warning, sound, and more! I can disable the warnings on the screen when you start the vehicle too!

Nicely done vid Brian! Hey how did u get that split screen between your phone screen & camera shot. When you were scrolling and selecting buttons on the app, was that in real time as you were demonstrating on the camera side of the split screen?

@@BrosFOURRSpeed Hey I wanted to ask have you ever tried to enable the m mode on the HUD, these are the settings in expert mode, I can see the option in the HUD view but does not show up on screen. Car: BMW 440i Year of construction: 2019 Problem description: I have trying to enable the M mode via expert settings, I have carried out the following 1) I went into the head unit 2) went into expert mode and enabled these three. HUD sportanzeige enable HUD sportanzeige fes enable and HUD sportanzeige ms gasse enable 3) went to instrument cluster and then in expert mode Then into FZG_Ausstattung but then was unable to find the following HUD sportanzeige enable HUD sportanzeige fes enable and HUD sportanzeige ms gasse enable

@@seangso Dang that is pretty cool! If the Supra doesnt show that it's probably within the actual monitor that displays the image on the glass. It probably just cant do that image then

Great video! very informative. Did you try to code anything under the "BMW Z4" menu? If you do code under "BMW Z4" after you coded under "Supra" does it overwrite the settings from "Supra" or does it just add the additional code from "BMW Z4" to the car?

I did mess with Z4. I was able to do the seat belt wanting I think. But I wouldn't go too far into Z4 because you wouldn't want to mess anything up. Thats what Bimmer code said to me

This is great.. so I had a question. Theres no android play on the supras? I need tips here while keeping it stock for the time being. I'm over here freaking out because I just found out. Another question. Does it have a an aux port at all?

No Android Auto as far as I know. There is a USB in the center console and thats it. It has normal bluetooth tho that any android would work with tho

If Toyota and BMW make a plug-in hybrid Supra with SofTex interior, then I’ll chance my Supra chimes to Rolls Royce. The new Rolls Royce startup chime almost sounds similar to the new 2013 Toyota/Lexus startup chime.

Also note, if you want to play a video you need to be in Screen Sharing Mode. Once in that mode any video that you watch on your phone are shared to the screen. So now with the code, while driving you can play videos from your phone (youtube, DirectTV, etc..) you can now play them while driving. In park for example I have watched football games on my Navigation Screen

Can you increase the brightness feature of the head unit eve more? Currently, at maximum it is still a bit dim. Hope to hear from you before splurging on this app and OBD adaptor!

I can't 100% remember. But I'm pretty sure you can adjust that. You can also adjust the speaker volume for when you get back in the car. And turn off seat belt warnings and a few others like that if you use the BMW Z4 car option.

Yeah I did one of the BMW logos and then put it back to Supra. I think you just have to deselect it or something. It should be easy to do. Or turn it off or something

Yes, active sound control is the fake engine noise. Question on the trailer hitch zoom, did you bring your car to a dealership for an update and then noticed that? My Supra is put away for the winter, but I know I didn’t have the hitch zoom when I drove it last....

To have it in 'sport' at all times? I don't think thats a possibility. However if it was, I wouldnt do that. I like being able to have the engine and trans tone down in normal mode

@@BrosFOURRSpeed On Bimmercode some people used the Z4 expert mode and coded in sport plus option on their Supras. Instead of just having normal and sport modes now theres a 3rd option sport plus like on BMW vehicles.

Active Sound design is I am pretty sure the false engine noises that pump through the speakers. I suggest checking out CarGuy11. He shows what it sounds like when this is mod coded

I ve seen vids where they enter diagnostics mode by pressing the stat button three times prior to using the hack, so are you doing it right?

The adapter itself will work for any car. I have other apps like Torque, and the Link MX too. So I can monitor other cars and clear codes on anything

It will. But the app Bimmercode is only for BMW vehicle. But other apps will work for different things

Technically nothing can void your warranty. And it really depends on your dealer. They would have to prove this created an issue somewhere in the car. Even if a dealer knew you did this, I highly doubt they would void your warranty. This wouldn't effect any of your drivetrain, so definitely don't worry about that. If you electronics fried, maybe they could trace it. But I wouldn't worry

Even though this isn't reprogramming any performance of the car, does anyone know if this could potentially void any warranty of the car?

Technically they can't void a manufacturer warranty. They would have to prove this feature caused an issue with the car. So I'm not too worried.

In what way? The factory setting can be adjusted by moving the HUD screen around. Not sure what else you'd want to change

It won't. That will be when you do some ECU tuning. This app is all about the electronics of the car

BimmerCode has a list of recommended adapters. Thats why I picked up this one. My Vgate did everything under the Supra tab. But I jest messed with it again, and with the Link, I could go under Z4, and change a few more items!
