Film from the Atlas Centaur Heritage Film Collection which was donated to the San Diego Air and Space Museum by Lockheed Martin and United Launch Alliance. The Collection contains 3,000 reels of 16-millimeter film.

This is a super interesting film which deserved better handling, particularly in the soundtrack department.

They put the listless voice and objectionable hum in the film on purpose to alienate people against the concept. Just saying. I don't know if they intended to do this. But that's the effect. Its also the effect of this post. If you intend people to get excited about the concept do the following; (1) process you video to remove the hum. (2) send the processed video to a transcription service and have them type a transcription. (3) send the processed video and transcription to a voice over service and have them produce a new audio track - parallel to the first one. (4) repost the upgraded video. Cheers

It's the hum from the AC motor used to drive the video reel when this was originally digitised and has nothing to do with the original.
