My favorite part so far is when you get to Scylla, one of her dialogs is how she and her band were making a new song called "We will Claw (Out your eyes and drown you)" and during the boss fight that song ACTUALLY plays in the background. 10/10 love my murderous singer fish wife.

@Thekidisalright not really, the game is playable but definitely not complete. There are tons of placeholder sprites (keepsakes, Narcissus, Echo etc) and a couple of missing weapons/tools, and the dialogs are still subject to change with some being added/removed. Some boons are stupidly broken as well balance-wise

It's early access, so I can kind of handle the blaringly obvious balance issues (Looking at Aphrodite being the only good Attack and Damage buff atm by the numbers). But the artwork and the character butchering? Nah, man. They did Nemesis and Hephaestus dirty. Helia's in black face, too. smh

The sirens were a roadblock for me, but once I beat them, I never died anywhere short of Chronos (excluding experimenting with new weapons). Never even died to Cerberus once. No clue how. He feels so easy, honestly.

Please watch Shad’s review of Hades 2 where he admits he’s never played the first or second game and wants people to boycott the game, then later on says “I’m not cancelling them I’m just saying don’t give them your money.” It’s such a weird video, him and his milktoast Mormon buddy go on to talk about a bunch of random shit but mostly it’s them mad about how characters in games aren’t sexy anymore or whatever.

1:47 shame they still havent sorted out the nonsensical hitboxes of enemy attacks. At no point, not in any frame does anything from the mob that kills him, actually touch his character hitbox. The 1st game had the same issue.

The enemy activated a cone shaped AOE in front of them. You couldn’t see because he died but it definitely did hit him

The point is that having organic diversity is perfectly A-Ok, but injecting it without concern for the narrative causes a jarring disconnect between expectations and reality. Greek Gods generally aren't obese and diseased, and the consistency of these art decisions clearly seem to spin a tailored narrative, not merely a few stray design decisions truly intended to promote diversity.
