Dont stop... more GOOBIES. I love this game and i hope devs dont screw it with bad updates

I recently unlocked the smaller islands artifact by getting lvl 10 attack range (strange fruits) and I really like having it on. It definitely makes it harder, but also way easier to manage picking up xp, particularly early game. The halo also gets insane for later levels, it starts doing insane damage when you're at lower health by hitting enemies with spears, which can decimate helmeted big guys who are trying to hug you to death. I've had my run saved by a high level halo a couple times

About what you say in 10:30 of the dissolving stuff, I have to say that in the run I posted in the discord I also did dissolve some level ups at the latter stages of the game, since if you recieve a useless upgrade it's sometimes better to just get half to 3/4 of the next level and try to find something truly useful instead of picking it up (when I died my next level up was something around 1.400.000 xp)

I wonder how much the speed of the different effects affects the end score of each power. For example, if a big explosion kills the entire board immediately, maybe there's nothing to slash after and the black hole comes in too late, so those power ends up doing no damage.

Im glad you're still playing this one man, it's very enjoyable to watch. As for games I'm looking forward to, Starfield is coming out in September and I'm excited about that. Love Bethesda, and love space-y stuff. No Man's sky is one of my favorites

I think adding more levels to existing upgrades e.g. Spirit of Amam and Spirit of Zigrid, which don't feel great but currently don't have any higher tier upgrades.

I swear I was getting XP from the trees while standing still haha. Running through trees means you touch them more often, though, so I think it’s better to run through them.

I believe that in a world where we have stuff like brotato, the only way to compete is to have a lot of very distinctive items and archetypes. If the runs don't feel fundamentally different from one another, then you just end up getting tired. And honestly, if the sound effects of this game weren't as good as they are, I would have already dropped it from how samey every run feels.

Thanks for making me discover this game, i didn't find a lot of reverse bullet hell games that appealed me for a long time. Love this Goobie but imo he's not that good without the x2 time speed, he attacks (and moves) so slowly that i find myself lacking dps faster than other Goobies. But as you said, i too can't play in x1 time speed anymore, its so slow lol

Sonic Howl, AOE radius and damage and attack speed basically makes it so you're invincible. Eventually dying to lag from too much XP on the ground. Enemies can't even enter the screen. It's fun.

Hey! You should try Star Renegades if you haven't already, 'real time' turn based rouge lite. Hard to explain but it's like that old school Grandia combat system where you can stun and break enemies to make them lose attacks

Vampire survivors is wild. Worth a try and plays like Goobies. Heaps of unlocks too

Maybe they could add more powers if there was a way to take some away from the pool. Or maybe each run gets a random pool of powers from all possible options.

Honestly i would prefer going for projectiles like needles, splinters, soft blobs and lightning chains plus the passives for this character since it already has an effect on death skill.

halo is one of the best items in the game if you take off the meta regen upgrade and avoid spiky hide its easy to get to 1-2 health early and stay there to just wipe entire screens of enemys with ease, had a 16 mill score run with it+worms

Are you playing with a controller ? I can't play with mine in this game for some reason. Did you do something specific to make it work?

I love the game but the music sounds like how I imagine chinese water torture might feel. At least the track with the tambourine every other bar.

Freakin love this game

Eventually dropped XP isn't effective for leveling up anymore so dissolving boss rewards and stuff becomes the best way to level. It always scales so it's consistent. I don't think I'll be playing anymore though. At least not until they patch out all the bugs for unlocking stuff.

No new games for me sadly. That said I have been making this a bit of a retro summer by replaying through old games though. Just recently finished playing through Final Fantasy X again and next I think I might replay through some of the old 'Tales of' games.

Your decision making on what to dissolve and what to keep sometimes puzzles me. You choose abilities that don't interest you instead of dissolving, and dissolve abilities (like the ricocheting attack) instead of picking it for what I assume would be more on-hit triggers. Am I missing something?

I think Halo is bugged. I had a run where I randomly got 4+ levels from bosses and the effect (it turns into spears from the heavens or something) seemed to work even when I was at full health

Hey bro. Love your content, but I think you're wrong about AOE radius in this game. The best run ive had in about 80h of playtime was one where I rolled 3x40% aoe radius and like 15+ lvls of wildfire. The run was so OP the game literally broke. It started chain-spawning bosses infinitely at -100.000.000 health in an inaccessible spot. Yeah you read that right: negative Millions of health.

been playing spelunky 2.. i just got into it recently...super hard game. also been playing a bit of Diablo 4.. kind of disappointed with it, it's a bit boring. Blizzard has been disappointing me a lot...Diablo 2 is my favorite game of all time, and it seems like they ran the series into the ground. Should play a game where I take a shot every time they say "Lilith" in the campaign. Kind of cheesy tbh. i almost have to force myself to play it. Other than Silksong, Gestalt steam and cinder looks like it's going to be pretty good.

Some more items/archetypes probably wouldn't hurt, but what this game really needs is better balance. It doesn't matter how many options there are, if some of clearly correct, and will always be part of a successful build, while others are just a waste of levels. From watching your videos, it seems like all of your builds either die early or converge on a similar point, to a much higher degree than other bullet heavens, which is not great for replayability.

So this guy can make videos clearly depicting certain thoughts and "concepts" quite openly but not in a straight forward manner but yet as soon as morty even slightly considers going with Rick to titty town it's overkill to keep it quiet? I'm confused. Someone is lying here
