Update as of Friday 8/16/19 I know longer have this air conditioner do to fan motor failure 😟

I have had one of these for a few years. It works well and I like the dehumidifier feature as well as air conditioner. Sometimes it is, like they say, not the heat, but the humidity. I started connecting it today as a heat wave is in the forecast in a few days. The hoses are a pain to hook up. I get the window part in and the part in the air conditioner comes out. I get it in the air conditioner and I can't get it to stay in the window slot. I gave up for today. Maybe tomorrow I will try flex tape. It can work but is a pain to take off when I dismantle after the season.

Wrong setup! Hose on portable AC units get quite warm...acts as a heater within the room. Take the bends out of the exhaust hose and limit the hose surface area to a straight line (short as possible) to the window exhaust plate. You'll see a noticeable difference in its cooling power within the room

Do u mean the hose that goes to the window basically just straighten it out and shorten it ? I wanna get this but I'm nervous to end up with a heater instead

Which window is best to attach the window plate to? I have double windows. Should it be on the inside window or the outside - OR does it matter?

How do you fix the red light on the ac for example it’ll run for a bit and the red light would turn on right next to the power and turn off?

Paid 150 for this one used n I just picked up a 9k free someone had in a trailer. Put in my bedroom I'm freezing at night less its 30 or 40 out which it is right now shortened pipe like they said n im cold in ny small room now. But im gona out in my living area which isn't big at all n see how it works. Better than the last 6k one I just had it sucked but get so dirty so fast inside where there is no filter. Found out 2 days ago u can buy coil cleaner ive jsut cleaned rhsi one. I'll update on of it changed anything. This oen here flew down a stairs upside dow ln n it still works n im sure rhe guy beat the thing. The other 9k feels amazing if I could just figure out how to keep the downstairs apts heat from.coming up here or my always in my building. Cuz ive had enough or I'm moving n taking these with me lmao theybare 3k and some are 600 so theybare not cheap my daughter got a cheaper one I think hers is 4 or 6k btu n it'll cool her whole.apt down n hers is huge. I'm just in a bad apt is all. But the are amazing orher than rhe water hose issue I hate that shite n the hose to window. But I guess ya can't have everything right. I've gotten too much 🥵 maybe heat sickness so I'm.hoping it cools me down soon.
