Ah, be careful of the big semis blowing by. That's what I do for a living. I was stranded just the same on the toll road in my car, a 2019, a few months ago and it is so crazy to be being passed by a semi instead of inside it going down the highway. Love the video. Hope the insurance and remaining crop yield provides enough to not just sustain but provide more than what's needed for you and your family. We'll be praying for you all.

So sad about the crops, but hail is a fact of life in the mid west. I'm in the Dallas / Fort Worth area and have had to have my roof completely replaced 2x in 6 years. We get the spectacular lightning here as well. Thunder travels a LONG way over flat open land and tends to reverberate. As always, watching you always makes my day Laura. You need to let people know what size T-shirt you wear and have them send ones from their area. You could start wearing a different t-shirt every day!

Hope your crops recover. Let's hope you don't get any more storms, or tornadoes. I worked in Nebraska in 2004. Massive storms, and tornadoes around us that year. Nissans are notorious for just stopping. Often it's a camshaft sensor fault. Get rid of it! Find a vehicle that doesn't pull these tricks. Best wishes.

A bad alternator is not going to cause you to lose power. Quite possibly the car is going into limp mode. There could be any number of reasons for that. A bad fuel pump is another possibility.

The only things we worry about in Texas are mosquitoes, tarantulas, black widows, brown recluse spiders, fire ants, red ants, scorpions (found one in my shoe the other day), giant 6 inch red headed centipedes, red wasps, yellow jackets, copperheads, rattlesnakes, water moccasins, coyotes, bobcats, mountain lions and skunks unless we take a break and go to Corpus Christi for some jellyfish and shark action. They threatened us with "murder hornets". Big deal.

Laura, If you want to keep the Mosquito's off of you try these: Take B Complex Vitamins everyday, And use AVON Skin So Soft "Soft & Fresh" (its the bluey green colored bottles), in any of the products they have, Body Lotion, Bath Oil, or the Dry Oil Spray. You'll not only have nice soft skin and smell lovely. But those nasty Mosquito's truly hate the smell and stay away from you. No harsh chemicals at all. I used them when I lived in Southern MN and I still use it here in the Northern UK. Loved your video.

Weirdest lightening I’ve ever seen was in Florida. I watched from a tall building (tall for Florida) and watched lightening do horse shoes down, not quite touch the ground, then go back up. Every so often it would appear to go up ( what I understand it actually does but it usually does it too fast for your eye to see). The weird thing was the saturation of strikes. It wasn’t one, then another, then another. It was 4 and 5 at a time like fireworks spread across a mile or so. Splintered lightening, horizontal, if you can imagine a shape it happened.

You are doing a great job and I think your enthusiasm is what draws people in(for me at least, that is a major factor) although showing people what goes into putting stuff on their tables and in their lives is huge plus.
