Yes, that area of the ancient world was the birth place of advanced mathematics and astronomy. Also, pyramids are the easier shape to build up, and that's why it appears repeatedly throughout history in different locations and configurations, as some sort of natural development in new civilizations. Also, isn't that hard to figure it out where the equator is, especially to people that depend on observing the seasons to plant crops and to farm animals. They were very aware of soltices and equinoxes, and were enormously spacially aware.

If you’re referring to the library of Alexandria. We actually still have roughly 90% of the texts from the library through copies or versions held in other libraries around the world. And even then most lost texts were mainly caused by entropy of the paper/papyrus of which they were written on, not just one event.

Just wanted to add onto here the civilisation doesn’t always evolve and often goes backwards due to lose knowledge. I studied ancient history and our ancestors had mannnyyy advanced technology that we didn’t rediscover until years later. The Romans had hot and cold spa rooms, working sewers ( which England didn’t even properly have up until like 100 something years ago) they built one of the first working dams too. Egypt was a central part of education in philosophy, maths, astronomy etc. The Greeks, Persians were known to be amazing mathematics. The incans had some of the best arecholgical builds too, indigenous people had peace working cities, trade, culture religion all of it was a sparking hub thousands of years ago. Also if you just use logic - of course there are no records of why or how the pyramids were built. War, famine, slavery, death all of these cause so much knowledge to be lost. The library of Alexandria a prime example of this. So just because we don’t know how it was done, doesn’t mean it couldn’t be 🤷🏻‍♀️

I take an anthropology class in university. i’ve always been sooo interested in the pyramids and how they were built, but one of my teachers mentioned the fact that doubting the people living in Egypt’s abilities of creating the pyramids had some racially problematic undertones. he brought this up when the conspiracy theory of aliens building the pyramids came up in class because people were so doubtful and unwilling to believe that Egyptians had the knowledge or ability to do so. there were some really smart people at this time!! i know it doesn’t really explain much but i think it’s important to think about

re pyramid: a COMMON misconception that people fail to consider is the fact that we are not smarter than people were thousands of years ago. we have more technology but our intelligence is NOT greater. Honestly I think they were smarter than us. With all of our technology we don’t even have to retain information because we can gain access to information at anytime. We go to school but how many times do we throw subject matter out of our heads right after a test. People back then actually had to retain the information they learned and could call upon their memory at anytime. Plus they probably had more of a focus on education because they had less distractions. We are constantly distracted by entertainment and social media among other distractions. I assume they were also motivated to create technological and educational advancements because they had less answers than we do. The world was even more of a mystery to them than it is to us so my theory is they spent a lot of time trying to advance with technology, knowledge, and advance as a society.

The ancient Egyptians were EXTREMELY advanced, in medicine, math, and astronomy. A lot of people overlook this and immediately jump to aliens due to the impressive height and complexity of the pyramids, but considering that the pharaohs are the people’s gods, its understandable why people would build them. The pyramids where mausoleums for the pharaohs. Many religions build churches, temples, statues for their gods. The pyramids are just that, and considering their advances in astronomy and geometry along with the people’s want to worship and be accepted by the pharaoh and their luck in geography(the Nile at this time was calm and safe and made their lands fertile allowing them to worry about other tasks instead of food and shipbuilding. Throughout history when food supply is stable, more advancements are made. Think of the scientific revolution, food had become stable and it allowed them to focus on science instead) the pyramids become more understandable in why they were built and how. There are many theories on how, and many scientist have proven that it is possible.
@kasper6188

This is all true except for the fact that they ware not mausoleums atleast not used ones... and we can guess on weather or not it was even built for their gods. Oh, and the Egyptians ware more than extremely advanced its hard to even comprehend how a man made structure can be the tallest on earth for almost 4000 years (don't take this the wrong way I'm not suggesting it was aliens just stating how crazy of a strukture it really is)

For the pyramid didn’t they have pulley systems and such to help lift the bricks? Sure it wouldn’t be as advanced as it is now but surely that would explain how they got stuff to those heights? Not only that I’m sure they could’ve also had some scaffolding too, if you can make safe scaffolding out of bamboo I’m sure there’s were some decent materials they could’ve found and used too. Idk pyramids to me seem like they can explained pretty easily. Not to mention back then it wasn’t barren deserts either so there might’ve been materials it resources we wouldn’t think of that they could’ve used

i watched a documentary recently about some historians in Egypt trying to recreate ancient structures with the methods that would have been available to the people of the time (i cant remember the name of the documentary tho sorry) and they said that it is possible that they could have built very long ramps out of sand and I mean... that is definitely something that they would have had in abundance...

@Rynnie i... girl... The pyramids were dated between 2550 and 2490 bc, the wheel was invented around 3500bc. It was around for nearly a thousand years by the time the pyramids were built.

i agree, if a dude can figure out the circumference of the earth by putting a stick in the ground i’m pretty sure a group of us together could figure out how to build a large ass pyramid
@dv8me666
@dv8me666 3 жыл бұрын
@Rynnie ignoring the fact that time frames are really hard to work out since some people argue that they could have had chariots as early as 2600bc, as well as potters wheels. Due to a lot of colonialist ransacking its kinda hard to piece together all of their history. So ignoring that. Egypt was known to have started trading with other powers as LATE as 3000bc. And the creation of the pyramids coincided with a ton of other inventions made around the same time. It was their cultural Renaissance. They weren't isolationist at this point in history. And ignoring all that as well. You can make a pully system with a rope and a log. Honestly you can use a brick if you smooth out the edges some. They were already using logs(a lot like wheels) to move the bricks they used for the pyramids, they had mastered "logs can roll" technology bare minimum. They also are known to have used ramps and levers often in their construction. But you're right, just because Mesopotamia invented the wheel in 3500bc (at the latest) that doesn't mean that Egypt, who they often traded with at that time, would have also had access to the wheel as technology.

I seriously thought she was much older than she is, just due to her maturity level and her hunger to seek knowledge... and also she is so humble, like she had possibly already had much more life experiences!?! I typed out a whole comment to her about this, but ended up deleting it out of fear it would be taken wrong lol. I didn't want her her to think I was saying she looked older or anything, because she looks amazing... that is just one of those things that is hard to put into words and it come out as an appropriate compliment!!! Go Hailey!!!... is all I know to say... if she is doing this well at the age of 19, she is on an excellent path to go far in her life.
