Emo style usually includes black (or dark colors), slim/tight clothes, pale skin (however anyone with any skin tone can be emo) dark eye makeup, band tees and merch, fingerless gloves, converse, black and white stripes, thick, heavily layered hair (sometimes dyed) with a large bang or fringe and sometimes piercings (if you're old enough). If you want to truly get into touch with this culture, I recommend listening to some "emo" bands like Jimmy Eat World, Jawbreaker, My Chemical Romance (though not emo, still popular in emo music scene) The Used, and many more. Just have fun with it and stick to what feels good to you!

I am a hairstylist and I had this hairstyle at one point. You want a razor cut for texture, you still want length but you want your layers to be short and choppy and you want a heavy bang. DO NOT leave until you're satisfied. Also don't think you can just get your hair cut and it's gonna lay just like hers, you have to style it. I recommend taking a picture for a reference then tell what exactly you want.

Mlp Poppyalyssa I have this hair now (accept with the side shaved) and the best advise that I can give you is to either start from the bangs or the tips if you wanna do bright funky colors. Also take baby steps. I took huge steps and damaged my hair because of the dye. So be super careful. I hope that I can see it when its finished.
