@@fafakatty6892 Hi! I think you have to figure out what works best for your hair. What I did was trim every 3 months. After I got rid of my damaged ends I extended trims to every 4 months and realised that was too long. I knew because I started experiencing more split and rough to the touch ends than when I trimmed every 3 months. So I went back to every 3 months. So you can start at every 3 months if you’d like and adjust as you see fit. Hope that helps!

The same thing happened to my hair. It shedded and broke off so much, that my twist-outs were see through. I was bummed because I finally made it to bra strap length. I shaved it completely bald a year ago and it has grown and thicker like it originally was. In my case, I wasn’t clarifying/chelating enough. Now I’m able to tell when my hair needs to be clarified. About a week ago, I put gel on my hair to slick the edges down and when I washed with a moisturizing shampoo, the front where I put the gel was brittle and shedding even after multiple washes. When I used a Ion’s Hard Water Shampoo, the shedding stopped and that section softened like the rest of the hair.

Aphogee is the truth, however, not everyone can use direct protein. Some people are protein sensitive so for those who may be reading this you may just need a conditioner with protein vs a direct protein like Aphogee. They have another one for curly hair that may work better for those who are protein sensitive.

Hey Jess! Congrats again! I’ve always loved your hair. It reminds me of my hair when I was a loose natural(currently have locs). Your hair doesn’t look horrible but I feel like it isn’t as thick as it used to be. I went through this same issues with my hair and I noticed that when I did a lot of low buns, puffs, half up half down styles even if I wasn’t pulling it tight it still was the forced tension on the edges. Over time doing that over and over again as quick and cute styles but it definitely thins out the edge area. I would differently recommend to get back to your old ways. Deep condition with a cap, hot oil treatments, and don’t forget protein treatments to help strengthen those strands! The aphogee 2 step protein process is a great brand to start with. Quick and easy. Also trimming it will help as well. . Can’t wait to see more marriage content since I’m currently engaged to be married in Jan 2023. Good luck with getting your hair back to the way you love and known it to be. As a thick hair chick WE KNOW WHEN SOMETHING IS OFF SIS🤣🤣 ‼️‼️ I love all of your content. Stay gorgeous love 🤞🏿💕✨

I feel you sis as I have been there. Happy to share what I did with mine. Firstly I had to own that I wasn’t caring for it as I should. Secondly had to find out why it was shedding and breaking as it was. Answers were check my nutrition and over use of products eg product build up. For the past 18 months been taking a good nutritional supplement and concentrated on eating healthier - good benefits all around. I also think this addressed shortages around vitamin d, zinc and Iron. Then started using herbs such as fenugreek, alma, bhringraj, aloe, for scalp and hair. Moranga provided excellent topical nutrition for my hair. Hot oil treatments which has been working well. My hair is recovering well. Breakage and shredding is a thing of the past. Also put in place a simple hair routine that isn’t so time consuming and aimed at keeping my hair healthy. Stress was also a factor and found that the herbs lessened the impact on my hair. I am now planning a good cut by a professional as I have trimming ends myself. I consider myself even after 18 months to still be in the treatment phase so have learnt to be extremely patient with my hair as there are no quick fixes. I hope you find something that works for your hair before you cut it off cause it is lovely. You just going through a difficult phase and your hair is telling you something. Concentrate on recovery before cutting to ensure you have addressed the issues.

Your hair is gorgeous and you are hilarious! I'm having the same issues, but I'm WAAAAAAYYYYYY older than you, so thinning hair (post-menopausal in my case) is to be expected. It's in the same spots, too... My temple area is super sparse and I have those short pricklies all over the place. I don't think mine is breakage, though... I've been using a clove/fenugreek leave-in and I think it's new growth. Your thinning may be from stress... GOOD stress, but stress, nonetheless. A good trim should make a world of difference. Anyway, you and your new hubby are adorable and I wish you Godspeed on your new life together! ❤️

My hair went through the same thing a while back and protein will be your best friend. You may want to start doing them once a month and limit washing your hair to twice a month instead of every week. I feel like a good trim will also bring your curls back to life! This is only a season. Your hair will come back fuller and healthier in no time ❤️

Hey boo. But I have been experiencing similar things. I noticed my hair has so much single strands knots and so much breakage. I think it's from stress or lack of protein I'm not sure. But I gave myself a cut and went section by section and cut off what needed to be cut off. You cant really tell a difference because my hair is just back to boob length. But it seems I just have to keep cutting it idk why I get getting split ends no matter what I do. But that's what I did. Do what's best for you and your hair health. also I think ur hair may be thinning from the stress you had been enduring. You had a wedding to plan and that alone is stressful plus things in your personal life. I have been watching you for years ur has thinned in the front I see what ur saying most definitely

Yes I agree with going back to basics! I found that when I was using too many new products it slowed my hair growth SIGNIFICANTLY. My hair wasn’t breaking per se but my scalp wasn’t too happy with all the products I was using. Now that I’ve simplified my routine again and I’m only using a few products now and I’ve retained all my length in the last year, I’ve only had to trim my ends twice mainly to remove fairy knots💁🏾💁🏾💁🏾

Idk what happened to my long behind comment but in short-this was me from end of 2020 to all of 2021 where I spent a year trying to remedy my he thinness. I had to start over bc that thin was not it for me and my hair started growing back so the roots were waaaaay thicker and it was like I was transitioning again. No amount of treatments, Ayurveda and them kitchen remedies (onion, rice aloe, etc) could help with the damage the fall out did. My hair is waaaay shorter than the waist length I had end of 2020 but it’s waaaaay thicker than those pencil-like braids/twists I had in 2021.

Came out like crazy again. . I did research on the oil. I cut it again. Ditched the oil. Wala. It's the Hair Growth oil. I had the same symptoms youre having. But I vowed to oil and massage my scalp nightly. It's been 3 weeks and my hair has responded wonderfully. Thank you Jesus!! This is my glory. Try it Jess! Rice oil...
