It’s been just shy of 8 years since I adopted what is my current way of eating (focusing on quality animal protein, EFA’s, 7-10 cups of cruciferous & dark leafy green veg, organ meats, etc.) and finally, within the past 2-3 years, my hair volume (density/thickness) has been restored. I want to encourage anyone who is on a path of recovery, whatever it looks like for you, that it’s possible to get better and emerge victorious. The changes don’t happen overnight or even in a couple of years, but with deliberate and consistent effort and adherence (choosing right action), you will eventually reap the rewards of your endeavor. If interested, please see the description for pertinent links including previous hair-related videos where you can see the difference in my hair from just a few years back. I appreciate each one of you for being here. xx

Thank you for this video and for your wisdom, candor and willingness to share your experiences. It gives me hope. I’m not sure what your history/struggles were in the past nor is it my business. I will say, though, that I am currently underweight and in a malnourished state and I have been feeling a deep shift and newfound willingness to tackle my struggles. Whether intended by you or not, you have given me tremendous hope and a possible guide map and for that, I am eternally grateful 🥰❤

Jennifer has become the new face of anorexia nervosa/bulimia. This is a control based disorder. People with these conditions are victims of covert narcissistic abuse from family who exploit eating habits or beauty maintenance rituals. Also, just because you oil your hair to keep it shiny does not mean you're genetically blessed!! You seem to have some overlapping Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD). Be humble. I look better than you in every sense beauty, looks, health, and career wise but you dont see me on KZfaq attention baiting... Get a life! Oiling is basic knowledge to all black and brown people who have been using shea butter/oil on their hair for centuries. So, stop gloating over something you didn't invent or have cultural appropriation over...

Hey Jen! I just wanted to share how much of an inspiration you are to me. I'm only 23 but I'm excited to age gracefully and healthily thanks to you. I don't know any women in their 30/40s who are single and focus on self improvement and both physical and mental well being. You have also inspired me to start trentinon (I use .1% since lower %s didn't do anything for me) and being more selective and mindful with my skincare products. I do have some ideas for videos if you're looking for it. Meditation for beginners - I find it impossible to meditate. Mindfulness/affirmations/minimalism/gratefulness, etc. Thank you for sharing your life and videos I hope you know how much of a positive impact you're having on so many people.

I like the few grey hairs coming in. It’s like hair tinsel. 🥰 I never dyed my hair before, and I don’t want to start now. Diet is the biggest part of it, but I want to share for anyone growing their hair beyond shoulder length the importance of protecting the hair while sleeping. A braid or a bonnet of some sort will make a huge difference if you are struggling with split ends and breakage, and everything else is already in order. Scalp health is so important as well, and that Nizoral shampoo is fantastic.

Hi from your old subscriber from India 🇮🇳 You're such an inspiration! You busted the myth of castor oil for hair growth (eyebrow/eyelash) that our ancestors used was infact for real and I have been trying your methods and yes, my brows have gotten furry!! Talking about your tretinoin usage, I have been strictly following that which my skin has adapted to very well, I use 0.01% gel almost every night near my eyes and I've seen great improvement after using UV 400 sunglasses and a broad spectrum sunscreen lately. Thanks, a lot Jen!! We both got COVID at the same timeframe and we both made it through, yay!! I think us people of Asian ancestry definitely have the genes that have dark hair and greying doesn't happen much unless nutritional deficiencies, here. :)

im asian too. greying is very common..in fact even in high school there were people with greying . and it gets worse/more common at age 20s and 30s onwards. it is just personal genetics..looking at one's parents hair history will give a good idea of your own . if your parent's hair is healthy but your is not, then only u may suspect other things like nutritional deficiencies or stress. otherwise, it doesn't matter if u r brown, black, white, yellow, rich or poor...if it's gonna happen, then it will happen.

I completely agree about the gaining weight and hair gain theory. I experienced it myself. I underwent a lot of hair fall because i lost alot of weight at once which is just horrible for your body in general. I lost the weight due to a digestive issue and my hair i think went into a sort of shock. I have finally stopped losing hair because i am taking care of my gut, and will slowly start putting on weight and go back to what my hair originally was. Jennifer is spot on ❤

It’s supposed to be really gentle on the scalp, and I found it has helped my scalp not be dry/itchy/flakey. Hello Jennifer, thank you so much for always providing to us such high quality information in your videos. It never goes unnoticed, this is one of the main reasons why I subscribed to your channel. I jumped on the tretinoin wagon and "less is more" ideal because of you focusing on consistency and efficacy. Anyhow, I wanted to take a moment and provide my two cents on the Nizoral Shampoo since I know you couldn't vouch for it's anti-dandruff properties. I suffered from dandruff last year with a very oily scalp as a result of a hormonal imbalance I got when I left birth control. I saw Dr. Dray's channel (dermatologist here on YT) and started using Nizoral shampoo. It did wonders for my dandruff, oiliness, and itchy scalp. Today my scalp is balanced, healthy, and I continue using it 1 time per week for maintenance purposes as I don't find it harsh or stripping. :) I hope this helps any subscriber out here that may be wondering if Nizoral in fact works for dandruff. Second and last thing I wanted to share with you since you spoke about hair growth and gray hair. I started spraying rosemary water (not oil, my hair doesn't do well with it) on my hair every morning and evening for the past 7 months. WOW, my hair has grown so fast since, I have baby hairs all around the crown of my head and if you research, some properties of rosemary are that it darkens your hair naturally. I cannot attest to that because I don't have gray hair either and I dye my hair red, however, this is something that may be of interest for you when those gray hairs start popping up 😉 much love from Texas 🥰

@@Lizeth0102 Hi! So my mother so happens to have a rosemary plant in her garden so I cut four little branches of fresh rosemary leaves, give them a very quick rinse, place them in a saucepan on the stove with just enough water to cover them fully (for me usually about 2 cups of water) and bring it to boiling point. If you don’t have actual plant you can purchase fresh or dry rosemary leaves at your grocery store. Then I turn stove off and let the leaves sit there till water cools. (This also allows for rosemary leaves to really “ferment” there and release its nutrients) I lastly pour the water in a spray bottle, got one off of Amazon by the way which sprays a very fine mist and that’s it. Super simple. I spray it on my hair morning and evening doesn’t matter if hair is freshly washed or not. You can keep the bottle on your fridge if you’d like I just keep mine room temperature and it lasts me about 2 weeks I then throw it out and make some more ☺️ hope this helps! 🫶

I use Nizoral for itchy scalp. Prescribed by my derm and my hair has grown at least 5 inches since June which is a lot for me since I was on a lot of steroids for many months this year. I have to use conditioner with it and use Pantene Pro V Unbreakable Lengths.

Airdrying makes my sinusitis worse each time I try so I gave up 😢 In Sweden it’s only possible in summer time. Airdrying also helps hair retain the moisture hence the hair feels thicker. Great tip but not doable for me as a sinusitis sufferer

Yes if you go gray you will more than likely end up dying your hair. I love Nizoral shampoo. I don’t suffer from dandruff either. I have started using it to minimize hair loss and it has delivered. Wish I knew about it sooner.

Love the authenticity in saying your genetics. This is people don’t get. The thickness is BIG part just genetics. People selling their secret to thick hair is ridiculous lol and people fell for it. Products are good to care but can’t do what genetics does. Facts

Hi Jennifer, Lovely as always. I was curious on the nights that you wash your hair how long do you wait to wash your face and applyTretinoin then apply castor oil your eyes?

I actually use that anti drandruff shampoo and i think it works for dandruff. I have to say I didnt fully take care of my hair before and I can’t say whether this shampoo itself did the work or if just simple caring for my hair more than I did before helped as well I’m sure a combination. But I would say to try this shampoo if you have dandruff and just be consistent in washing your hair and giving it conditioner/grease/oil etc. I struggled with dandruff for 5 whole years and now.. no more and its been a full month since I seen a flake. If you’re struggling with dandruff don’t let up. Double down on the hair care routine and be consistent.

Hi Jennifer, first I want to say thank you so much for your videos and the wonderful information you put out. This is a sensitive subject but you mentioned a 30 pound weight gain and I was wondering if you ever struggled with restricting food intake, and if so, how you got over that? I am at a healthy weight yet I tend to obsess over the number on the scale, I have for most of my life. I am almost 27 and I really want to finally give up this way of thinking and just focus on my health and how I feel, but for some reason I can't seem to stick to that resolution. I will decide to "opt out" of all of that and to free myself from those expectations and just live my life, but a few hours later I will see or hear something about weight loss or dieting and I'm back to obsessing over it. I also struggle with comparing myself to others, which I think is a big factor in that. This has taken up too much space in my mind and mental energy for too long and I don't want to care about it any longer, but I'm having trouble letting go. I would love to hear more about your weight gain journey, and if you have any advice on shifting one's focus to health, longevity, and feeling good rather than one's appearance and how others view oneself.

i use: herbatint haircolour gel. it contains herbs and it's ammonia and paraben free. i usually got irritation from average profucts. but it"s not irritating for me and i was surprised that i got shiny hair with nice color in no time. it also covered i guess my gray hair (i have some since 22).

With your diet and exercise, is that possible to gain as much as 13kg...??? Anyway, I stopped coloring my hair six months ago, to appreciate my natural black hair before going gray. Camellia oil and boxwood comb make black straight hair so beautiful.

Does anybody know an alternative to the Nizoral ketoconazole shampoo? Something that's accessible, not overly expensive, and doesn't smell as strongly fragranced as Nizoral? I don't mind light fragrance but fragrance from this shampoo is overpowering.
