Lyrics:
I, I went off to the right
Without saying good goodbye
Where does it go from here?
Is it down to the lake I fear?
Ay ay ay ay ay ah
Ay ay ay ay ay ah
Then I call
Ring, ring, ring, ring
La la love plus one
Ring, ring, ring, ring
When I call love
Then I call
Ring, ring, ring, ring
La la love plus one
Ring, ring, ring, ring
When I call love
Love plus one

Everything everything EVRYTHANG was so good in the 80s. The sheer choices of many different styles of music and all great. And you didn’t have to choose. Toss on something from Parachute, a Fiorucci accessory and hit the clubs. Rinse and Repeat. And Repeat There could never be anything else like it.

Nothing sounded like anything else until the triple disease of Madogga the vile, Stop Aching Waterbrain and rap came along, sending the rest of the 80s steadliy sliding into a quagmire, from which there was no escape once the 90s dawned!

I couldn't agree with you more, Mark Hamer. This great song along with so many other great hits from the '80s definitely sounds much better than a lot of the so-called music we hear today. The music we heard back in the days when "Love Plus One" by Haircut 💯 first came out sounds like music that was properly written, whereas today's pop music sounds more like a random collection of bits & pieces thrown together in just 5 minutes to meet an urgent deadline. Mark Hamer, you sound like you have great taste in music and you know great music when you hear it. Rock on, buddy!!😀🎸😃🎸

Honestly, if it weren't for that channel, I probably never would have gotten the chance to hear bands like this and would have missed out on some great music and likewise, groups like Haircut 100 would not have gotten nearly as much exposure as they did. These dudes, man. Having so much fun. Smiling, dancing, enjoying the music! None of this serious, plaid-shirt wearing, beard-sporting, brooding, experimental, "I'm-a-musician" bollocks. This is nothing will ever surpass the 80s - fun, joy, splendid melodies, expertly-crafted singles.

Went to the record store. I bought Black Flag’s Revenge and my friend bought Haircut 100’s Pelican West. We each made cassette’s and exchanged them. That’s how we saved money back then and why Gen X’ers have an eclectic taste in music. Nothing was dorky…well perhaps Air Supply😂

Now a dad in his 40's. .the soundtrack of my life is the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse theme song and Doc McStuffins' "Time for your Checkup" LOL. I'll gladly take it over the S*** called music today.

I grew up surrounded with music. My parents were huge classical fans as well as Gilbert & Sullivan etc and they were involved with a church were they ran a lot of fellowship for young & teenagers etc so I was exposed to the music of people who were up to 10 to 15 years older . So I grew up with the 60’s & 70’s and come the 80’s I was 19 and lived through one of the most amazing decades of music the world has ever seen with so many amazing artists with the whole range of talents and personalities to the max. I am a life long lover and addict of good music and I have every record / cd I have ever bought over the years. The only original stuff that I had that I no longer have was my record collection of music bought from the “import” record stores in Sydney which were stolen after a break in which included all of Elton Johns record up to 1979 thankfully I eventually was able to buy them again but they were not the original pressings which is a bit of a bummer. Long live the music from the 80’s !!! 🇦🇺❤️🇦🇺❤️🇦🇺❤️
