Brad would have lost his mind over me - I cut my hair for the FIRST TIME EVER three years ago (I was raised extremely religious and we were not allowed to cut our hair at all, not even dead ends,) when I was 27. It was down to my knees and I'm fairly tall - it was probably over 4 feet of hair. It felt like I'd finally shed the last piece of old skin and I could finally be myself. Turns out my hair has a really nice wave to it, but was always too heavy to show. It's never going to be longer than my shoulders ever again and my neck rejoices!

the first girl looks AMAZING with short hair! that cut, those curls, omg it takes me about a year to grow my hair from my shoulders to my tailbone (it grows incredibly fast when I actually take care of it and don't colour it or use heat for styling) and it was so liberating when it was finally safe to actually get a proper cut after not being able to in 2020 and most of 2021. like, I literally didn't have it cut between February 2020 and August 2021, and I had so much hair. I legit felt like a whole new person once it was shorter again

When I was 13-okay my parents made me keep my hair long my whole life. Like butt length. When I was 13 they decided I could cut it off. I got a super punk rock SHORT cut, spiky and short. I came home with my mom and my dad said “wow, now I have two sons.” I’ll never forget that. Good for her for the change ❤️❤️❤️

After my separation from my ex husband I went to chop my hair off and I actually had a serious break down in the car and then again in the hairdressers chair. Hair is not just something that grows out your head… it really is such a significant part of you and your memories.

I remember that feeling many years ago. I use have super long hair all throughout my teens. I finally got sick of it when I was reaching adulthood so I cut it super short. I don't think I could go back. I think it's really important to explore what you like when it comes to your hair and not just keep your hair long just because it's the standard. I don't understand how some parents don't let kids have fun with it as well. Luckily my parents never forced me to keep it long, I was completely my own decision. I've kept my hair short for the last 10 years and I still like it.

They both turned out great, but the second one really needed the cut. I’ve done the long to short thing, and I love how excited hairdressers get when I tell them to chop it off! I remember one who after confirming with me and seeing that I was ready for the big chop, actually did little excited jumps as she grabbed her scissors! 😆. My hair turned out awesome, and I think the smile on the hairdresser’s face was as big as the smile on my face!

I just had my first hair cut in 5 years as well! I chopped it off and am donating it. Waist length to chin, and my hair took over 24 hours to air dry (my hair is very thick and dense). I chopped off about 17”.

Brad! I love your color line: I’m loving the deep purple and deep pink right now. I had virgin, black, curly hair. After watching you all through the pandemic, I used: L’Oréal bleach (um, it took a whole pound), 40 developer, sectioned out my hair, and the hubby was roped into this DIY, and he painted the bleach on and applied foils. I waited to apply to my roots, but after three separate days of bleaching, my little baby hairs decided to break off. It’s fine. It worked out beautifully. EVERYONE is obsessed with my color, and I give everyone your social media contacts. OH! Almost forgot! Electric Rain. That stuff is magical and it smells delicious. Thank you so much for your help and inspiration.

okay my hair is similarly textured to the 1st girl's... but it completely covers my butt. I'm 5'7 to give reference, so yes, my hair is ridiculously long. I want to cut it soooo bad, like at least 7-12 inches (even though it would still be waist length) but my mom won't let me for whatever reason. I'm so happy these beautiful girls got to make this change for themselves bc I understand the struggle tbh; the EXCESSIVE amount of product, maintenance and just overall hassle of having long SUCH hair can be overwhelming at times. So good on them! They all look stunning and I can just feel the confidence radiating from this video

One of the first times I chopped off my hair was extreme. My hair had grown to my elbow. It was long, bushy and extremely thick. I made a drastic decision that actually was one of the best ones I'd ever made. I went from elbow length hair to a very short pixie cut and haven't looked back. Since then my hair hasn't reached past my shoulders and has had all sorts of different hair colors. A lot of girls feel prettier with longer hair and that's awesome. But me personally, I absolutely feel stronger and hotter with extremely short hair. Can't wait for the next cut :D

So fun! I just did this myself! I hadn't had my hair cut in 3 years. It was down to the top of my pants. I had about 18" cut off and lots of layers added and highlights! It's so freeing and so much lighter!

These videos gave me life. I hate super long hair; I feel like it just… as Brad said… It wears YOU, not the other way around. Once you hit 30, it definitely ages you. So many people have an unhealthy attachment to their long hair and literally hide behind it. Both these cuts came out AMAZING! Both ladies are stunning in their afters. THIS WAS SO GOOD. 🤌

I went from 5 years of growth of hair down to my butt, cutting off around 20 inches and never really went back. The minute my hair gets to the middle of my back I chop off a ton of length. Then I just started doing some fun stuff to it and it's been so fun! My hair is now always dyed half purple and recently I shaved the under side for fun. So if anyone's scrolling through the comments and is thinking about chopping their hair off, do it!!

It was over a year ago when I went to the hairdresser to get my long hair chopped off right after a covid lockdown. My hair was quite long, not rapunzel long but still quite long, and it was like that for pretty much my whole life beforehand. So getting a pixie cut all of a sudden gave me such an adrenaline rush! It's easy so say that it's just hair, but it really does feel exhilarating! To this day I still keep my hair short.

My hair was down to my tailbone as well when I decided to cut it. What some people don't understand is, your hair is like a security blanket. I thought I needed it and couldn't live without it being long. But then I cut it to a bob a few years back, and I fell in love with it and haven't thought of my long hair since.

The first video you watched was kind of a full circle for me I watched her through her whole curly girl journey and then the drama that she had with all the hair loss and stuff with diva curl and to see her cut her hair and see her curls so prominent it’s just amazing I think it’s kind of your hair off was not just getting rid of her old self but releasing all that baggage that came with publicly outing diva curl for ruining so many peoples hair and honestly I’m so glad that that’s all behind her but the rest of these girls I mean I just did a big job recently to and I know how amazing it felt so yay

I had hair down to my hips...I cut it to my shoulders and it felt so good! I love long hair but I needed the change. Wasn't too long after that I got a pixie cut and I was scared but I ended up enjoying the change. Hair was my safety blanket and became my identity...so going short was a big deal for me. But it taught me so much about myself once I did it and now I feel confident doing any hair length ☺️ ❤️
