I think those bleach fails are hilarious, but I really felt so empathy for the last girl - I wasn't able to laugh about the clip after she said she was too broke to afford toner and that's when she always colors her hair. And I really love how Brad also was genuinely so much sweeter talking about her!

@@kylieBolognaI am not going to change what I said. I am, however, editing to preface;I wrote this as a comment on a reply she made to a comment on the video that expressed concern for her well-being. This is a food for thought, and a little nudge to think about getting checked out. As I said, I'm not a pro, but highly experienced with mental health issues (and not just myself - I have been a peer counselor, off and on, for about 30 years). I just want everyone to stop gatekeeping. If Kylie has a problem with something I said, and/or wants me to delete my comment, I will. But all of you need to stop telling me how "wrong" I am. @kylieBologna - if you want me to take my comment down, please, just let me know. You can even just say "delete please." I will take it down immediately. I admire you for coming on here to reply. That takes strength. However, in my unprofessional (but highly experiential) opinion, you are doing something to have a little "fun" so that you can actually*feel* something. Why do I think that? Because I used to do that. I would do things that were a bit risky, that could maybe have a detrimental outcome, just to feel alive. I believe you are suffering with depression. I have dealing with it for over 40 years, since childhood. All I can say is that at least you are doing something that in not likely to be lethal. But, Kylie, you need to think about professional help. I do understand the connotations such a thing can carry. But you need to take care of yourself, first and foremost. Sending you a big virtual hug 🤗, because I think you need one.

Frankly, I don't even want to know what formula a countless number of hairdressers, I had visited in past, used. Usually after having my hair bleached at hairdresser's about 5 or 6 times I always had to switch to dark colour as my hair was fried. I have been bleaching my hair myself for almost 2 years now and no problem. My hair is bleached, tonned and quite healthy and longer than ever! Just watch everything choose the correct opitons and GO FOR IT!!!!!
@JerseyGirl1224

The key at home is to take your time and use the right products. I have dirty blonde hair and just lift it up to like a Barbie golden blonde color. So I use 10 vol developer with my bleach and process for a half hour. My hair is literally at my waist and healthy. I don’t use heat anymore. So I don’t even have any split ends. If you ever decide to bleach at home go low and slow, less damage with the lower volume developers.

Mind reader! Was just talking about this with my 75 y/o retired hairdresser mom. Bleaching your hair in the (distant) past used to leave permanent damage to your scalp and it's incredible how easy it is to use now. It just smells so much better -- Mom would complain of reeking of ammonia all the time after work. Also, used your link to get my first E-Salon kit, should be here tomorrow!

@@Kushpigletdesigns Personally, I dont think it's because brad is always wrong or that he is giving out misinformation. I do understand all professionals make mistakes, but to say he completely spreads misinformation is not true. I think it's that regular people struggle to understand the complete context of what he is saying. It's like how doctors on social media always get misquoted or misinterpreted because a lot of the things they say is simplified with nuance, but a regular person who never went to medical school or hair school in this instance, wouldn't know all the proper contexts of what they mean. In other words, regular people take what professionals say at face value, because they do not have the knowledge to apply it in its different contexts. For instance, the most prominent example is people self diagnosing themselves with ADHD on tiktok. One of the reason why this is so common, is because psychiatrists, therapists, psychologists and the like, will have to simplify information in ways such as, "I notice that my patients with adhd tend to do blah blah blah". Then, sally a random viewer might think "hmm I do that too! therefore, I might have adhd". Sally will take the information this professional says at face value, without applying it in the many other contexts that it should, such as that a person will need to meet an array of other criterias to actually be diagnosed, and that you cannot be diagnosed simply because you have similar traits. This isn't because professionals are purposefully trying to mislead people, but it is usually impossible to explain the entirety of a larger concept online without it just being a boring college lecture. Especially when the purpose of the content is to be entertaining, and not a regurgitation of textbooks. All in all, Professionals do their best to simplify things on the internet with the right amount of information, but it's really difficult to do so. A lot of nuance and context is left out, but like I mentioned before, if they had to sit there explaining every single nuance about everything to do with their profession, it would just be a long boring video, and not an entertaining video. I believe brad is doing his best to explain things the best he can without dragging out the video to 1 hour. I'm sure he's made mistakes or given out wrong information at times along the way, but I do not think those instances define the entirety of his channel. In multiple videos he has stated things along the lines of "I can't even begin to explain this, it's just hair school stuff" whenever something is going really wrong in a video that he is reacting to. This isn't because he is lazy, but because he knows that he would be there for 30 minutes trying to explain it to the viewers, and it might not be that easy simplify, especially if chemistry, biology, autonomy, or math is involved. Brad has even stated multiple times that he can't do it all. He is just one hair dresser out of the millions of other talented hair dressers, each with their own unique specialties and talents. The best example being when he admitted that he does not know the ins and outs of all types of curly hair. That is why people with curly will take what he says about curly hair with a grain of salt because he was able to admit his shortcomings. Curly haired individuals like me still enjoy his content, but I obviously know that there are other hairdressers better suited to give information about my hair. Sometimes I hear him say something wrong about curly hair, but we all know it's not his expertice so most times people just kindly let him know in the comments : )! Thank you for your time, I hope I was able to convey my opinion properly. Just like how this took me forever to explain, it would take professionals triple this amount of works to completely be able to explain everything they are talking about. ( also I used a lot of medical references because I am a nursing major so it's the closest examples i can relate it to haha).

I just wanted to let brad know, because of him, I have learned that I don't need to use 40 volume every time I use dye 😂 no wonder my hair was so fried when I went blonde to go lavender. I have since learned there are different volumes for different things

The way you mentioned wanting to dye your hair at 11PM. It is now 11PM in the UK, I have a killer migraine, and I desperately want to do my red roots and purple ends. 😖 Thanks for that Brad.

brad mondo came around years after i learned my lesson with bleach at 12 years old but he do be the reason i can do it now and actually do it right and knowledgeable. people always compliment my hair since i’ve grown it out! Little do they know i’ve bleached some of it and dyed some of it so many times but i use his videos to cut my hair/bangs and lighten it to color it in fun places with minimal damage and i can literally give him a big kiss for that 😂🩷 i love you brad!! been watching you for 6 years now and i never get tired 😘

Color oops is not bleach or ammonia based but it requires half an hour of rinsing non-stop and multiple shampoos. It looks like the last girl didn’t rinse for half an hour. Takes longer to get the older color out. Looks like just the newer color came out. It’s exhausting but does work. It also may turn your hair a pale mint color. Recommend following with a Malibu to ensure all the color remover is really out before any other processing. 🌈

Here's a helpful hint about color remover,don't waste you're money on them. Just use bath and body works body wash.I grabbed that by mistake and lathered it up in my hair before my brain kicked in and went oh crap that wasn't your shampoo. It washed out ninety percent of the color(permannent) that was in my hair,no joke. I was at first horrified, but then I used it two more times to just go ahead and get the rest of the color out of my hair. I don't know what's in in but it works pretty good at taking color out of your hair.

I wonder if that would work for fashion colors. I won't bleach my hair myself, but sometimes I like to fade the color quickly so I can minimize the... surprises... when I change colors.
@hiontruluv
@hiontruluv 8 ай бұрын
@dianagreene4257 yes, this would definitely help strip out fashion colors. Also purple shampoo (the ones blondes use) is good for this too. Purple shampoo is higher on the pH scale so it removes semi permanent. Wonder if the bath & body works has a high pH too.
