Scorching heat claimed the lives of at least 550 Hajj pilgrims in Mecca. Visitors have died during the annual Muslim pilgrimage to Mecca as temperature rose to 51.8 degrees Celcius. Over 323 of the dead were Egyptians, most of whom perished due to heat-related illness.

In 1983 I was a flight attendant stationed in saudia arabia for 2 months bringing pilgrims from africa to meca. When we werent flying and had some free time we were sleeping. In the beginning it was difficult with the long hrs and heat. We stay in a hotel in the desert the heat was unbearable. I had much empathy for the pilgrims they were extremely poor and save there whole life to go to mecca. It was an experience I shall never forget. I miss you my friend ingrid

Yes that's true I did hajj too and no hospitality from Saudi ppl nothing, policeman guiding wrong direction to ppl in very hot weather, I was also fint and fell on ground no one helps like there army or policeman they just looking my wife ask help from ppl like expats they're telling to police to call ambulance but nothing so there management wasn't good

In Chennai Tamil Nadu we use to have very hot climate in April May june.but after I praying to allah and Venkateshwara god the climate is pretty cool in Chennai Tamil Nadu.
