The Hakka Fist system likes to use a lot of double fist techniques. And in today's Kung Fu Report we will talk and demo about an intermediate level of Hakka technique, where you can use one side of your body to attack in extremely close range. Want to know more about it? Let's check this episode out.

Adam as always thank you for sharing your knowledge. I always learn something new and intriguing here. I have a special request. Chris has always helped in the videos to demonstrate how techniques work, which is of course invaluable. However, he is something of a human punching bag by necessity. I am guessing that after training with you for so long that Chris’s own skills must be at a pretty high level. It would be cool to have a video where he was able to demonstrate some of them rather than just being on the receiving end. Chris did not pay me to write this.

1:58 Interesting.. they have that low BONG in Mantis as well. I’m a firm believer in BIK ENERGY moves. I like how each interaction or touching, Sifu Adam puts weight into simple effective blocks that hurt and he strikes all in the same beat. HAKKANESE huh. 😎💥🥊I might look into it a bit. I haven’t yet. Only from you I know they use HAMMERFIST a lot.

I'm interested to know more of your background in Hakka martial arts and in Hakka arts in general. At the moment I am learning Chow Gar Tong Long from the MyChowGar group based in Hungary which I believe is a form of Hakka Praying Mantis style. I am seeing many similarities between what I am learning and what you show here and also with other Hakka styles such as Pak Mei. But also I see interesting differences with these styles too. I believe you mentioned in another video that you are of Hakka descent and a family member taught you some Dragon style? I do not know so much about this style so would be interested in learning of similarities/differences between this and Hakka Mantis if you have any awareness/knowledge of this (or anyone else here who does).

Great video Adam and explanation of the low hammer first which I've never seen talked about online! Is the Hakka series going to be available by itself?

I like that first block and strike but I’d just grapple after that you have head and arm control it would be good to set up rotary throw aikido or front head wrestling, or just a hard cross with a frame. As far as using wing Chun I like to use kung fu mixes of wing Chun with other kung fi from shaolin to jkd and definitely wing Chun but I have more of a fighting focus as a person. Thanks for the reminder on the low line back fist and elbow - I was taught that and you just forget it because it can’t be used in sport. I do use the shoulder as a counter to things like standing arm bars - good technique but I do not feel confident myself in using it to counter punches - should I? I also remember your push hands version of knife hand and agree you can get power out of a double punch using it - up to you if you want to use that. It looks like you are using it to exit - so bridge in - technique - exit.

2:06 You know, it’s weird, but I’ve been working on moves just like those. Destructions that give me a reaction, pain, distracting them, and creating operating room. I know you’re doing a video on another heritages art. But mainly do wing chun/Kali stuff like that. But are guy working on stuff like this personally? Cuz if you are I find that kinda cool coincidences. Maybe some point in the future we could meet. Good work by the way.

Adam, could you PLEASE do an episode on Bajiquan. Particularly the Vertical Elbow Strike? I have been so curious about any possible application of that move as well as many other Bajiquan techniques.

@@aidenfisher5679 this is what makes online discourse so fruitless. Why make the assumption that I haven’t looked up other sources for Bajiquan or spoke to other Kung Fu practitioners about the technique that I mentioned? All that just to insult me? Come on bro, unnecessary

@@aidenfisher5679 another problem with online discourse; you don’t know who you’re speaking to so assumptions are made & blanks are filled in incorrectly. No, I don’t see dude as a guru of some sort nor am I expecting anything outlandish by requesting him to address a topic. He’s a WC practitioner that has shown a functional knowledge and history of other forms of Kungfu. Being a content creator I put in a request for him to address something I’ve had trouble finding a lot of info on from other sources, that’s it. From there you’re telling me that my ego is fragile, insinuate that I’m being lazy and expect everything to be handed to me. I’m not sure what you read into my request that prompted you to respond how you did but none of this is necessary bruh.

In my opinion wing Chun can use rotation work it’s usually done jkd but you can, you just should learn both in my opinion that’s me you should learn rotation work and putting extra energy into your elbows and extra energy into your punches because you have to learn how to actually fight so you would want to know how to do that because that would be necessary. But because of how wing Chun works you have to operate with both sides of your body and be in close … So for that reason you should learn how to face and not over rotate. But I personally believe power is important and you can get it multiple ways but I do like rotation power. You need sensitivity too etc. wing Chun fixes a lot of problems in kung fu if you use it. What you did in close and what you talked about being bladed in close … idk. 🤷‍♂️ I don’t know.
