The Hakodate Museum of Northern Peoples is a museum in Hakodate, Hokkaido, that introduces the culture of northern peoples such as the Ainu and the Uilta. The museum was renovated from the former Hakodate branch of the Bank of Japan, which was built in 1926. The exhibits include ethnic costumes and daily necessities, allowing visitors to gain a deeper understanding of the lifestyles and culture of northern peoples.

The Hakodate Literature Museum is a literature museum located in Suehirocho, Hakodate, Hokkaido. This historic building was originally built as the Hakodate branch of Daiichi Bank and was later used by JACCS Co., Ltd., but was donated by the company to Hakodate City in 1989 for the purpose of promoting culture. The building is a "designated landscape building" and was renovated and reborn as the Hakodate City Literature Museum in 1993 after being reinforced and renovated.
This literature museum houses and exhibits about 250 items related to writers and literary works associated with Hakodate.
There are also exhibits of Ishikawa Takuboku, writers Kamei Katsuichiro, Hisao Juran, Sato Taiji, and sculptor and illustrator Yanagawa Goichi.
