hey! me and my friends are deciding to go skiing around december this year for a week. Did you mean that they offer coupons just displayed up front for anyone to take or do you go up and ask for them yourself?
@AdventuresOutHere
@AdventuresOutHere 5 жыл бұрын
Hi Vivian. Yep, they just have them displayed on the counters and tables. The bus station/info center has the most coupons. Have an awesome time!

I would advise against going there in December, it is a real gamble for snow quantities, may be a little to early

What's the go with the buses between resorts, do you need the hakuba valley pass to get on them for free? Tossing up between grabbing the valley pass or buying a ticket depending on what resort I'm riding that day.
@AdventuresOutHere
@AdventuresOutHere 5 жыл бұрын
The buses are free, regardless of whether you buy the valley pass or not. Cortina is the only resort we went to that we had to pay for a bus but it was only a few dollars all the way from near Goryu.

How do you find season long apartment rentals? Most rentals in ski resorts you find seem to be massively inflated 1 or 2 week holiday let prices. Thanks
@AdventuresOutHere
@AdventuresOutHere 4 жыл бұрын
Basically we looked on booking.com and found a few cheap options and then emailed the hotels directly to enquire about long term rates. It never hurts to ask. I believe the one we stayed at may be closed now though. It was definitely on the 'budget' end of hotels.

Is the price of the train the shikansen train?
@AdventuresOutHere
@AdventuresOutHere 5 жыл бұрын
You can take the shinkansen for part of the journey. You have to hop on and off a few different trains and one can be the shinkansen if you select that route. Have a look at hyperdia.com and you can see the different options. Cheers!

Condominium Excel Hakuba... but I have a feeling they may have closed operation?? They had partner hotels (one was Hakuba Goyru I think) which was a little more expensive. Basically we looked on booking.com and found a few cheap options and then emailed the hotels directly to enquire about long term rates. It never hurts to ask and most hotels respond :)

What month did you travel in Hakuba with snowing rain @ 0:48 (?) Really helpful guide! Thanks for this!
@AdventuresOutHere
@AdventuresOutHere 5 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Glad you found it helpful! 0:48 was in January but it's not snowing rain, it was just really large snowflakes :) We were there in December as well and at times it was warm enough to have a bit of drizzle in Hakuba Village. January and February seem to be the best months for good snowfall.

So the train and bus will cost about 20k yen one way. 40k yen return. Seems to be a rip off price to me and I would need to take a lot of money it seems to be able to just get around there. Perhaps I’ll decide to visit somewhere else then.
@Thekidisalright
@Thekidisalright 4 жыл бұрын
arkhamkillzone he didn’t mentioned in the video but the train is not just any normal train but a ultra high speed bullet train, the train ride is 90mins and the bus is another 1 hour, it’s basically traveling to another city, it’s not like a 15mins ride, anyone who knows the distance it covers and the time it saves compare to taking a highway bus won’t think that’s too much to ask for, if you think that’s a ripoff you probably better off just go for a picnic at some park at your neighborhood.
