Did this today in my tundra. Switched from terra grapplers, to ridge grapplers, to KO2 DT and gotta day I didn’t spin a tire the whole time. Very impressed. Not the toughest terrain but makes for great proving grounds for my tires

Nice! I haven't been back this year. I've heard they really paved it, so it's not as much fun as it used to be. Still enjoy it? I'm trying to decide on tires. I loved my Ridge Grapplers, but ended up getting a great deal on KO2s for this truck. So I've got 37k miles on these KO2s and now have to decide if I'm doing them again, or back to the ridge grapplers.

Ya, not everyone was aired down. I usually do on Haley's just because it's so darn bumpy!

jasonj411 Nice! It’s a great trail that’s free and close to Chattanooga. I’ve never run it the opposite way, I should try that one weekend.

Awesome, I'll have to check PC out soon. I grew up riding around Big Frog, Ocoee/Cohutta areas, and Tellico, sadly I've never been riding around PC.

Richard Houzvicka PC is a pretty fun area with some gorgeous views. With the exception of Haley’s Road, most of the trails can be done in 2wd. I love going up there because it’s super close to home. If you ever want to go up there let me know and I can come up and run it with you.

Looking to move from Indiana down to chattanooga, so seeing that riding is possible in PC is exciting, I thought there was only riding over near racoon/aetna

Nice! There are some great trails around here. Everything from 1000s of miles of dirt roads to some more fun technical stuff. We are also pretty close to Windrock park which is one of the largest offroad parks in the south east.

Thanks for the video. Just moved to the area a few months ago and have been exploring Cherokee National Forest. Looks like I need to check out Prentice Cooper. I’m not really looking for extreme wheelin’, just backcountry exploring and scenery.

Todd Derr Fine Art Welcome to the area! PC should be opening back up this week. It’s a great place to explore with some beautiful lookouts great hikes, and some easy trails. Haley’s Road is the hardest trail there and it’s definitely not too difficult. I’d recommend not going alone tho because the water can be high, and cell service spotty.

@@ScenicCityAdventuresdo you recommend not got wheeling alone on Haley's road? Or wheeling alone in the park at all?
@ScenicCityAdventures
@ScenicCityAdventures Жыл бұрын
I would say everything in Prentice Cooper can be done by yourself with the exception of Haley’s Road. Haley’s road has some pretty good sized rocks that can do real damage, and there is no cell phone service. I had to go rescue a friend after they punched a hole in their transmission cooler crossing the creek. They had to hike a mile or so to get enough service to text me come winch them out. I used to go alone in my Jeep, but it’s gotten bad enough I don’t go alone.

No worries! Everything else in PC is pretty easy. Hop on the first trail to the left and keep taking lefts when. There is intersections. Those are fun with a couple views.

Haven't been out here in years. Had a 74 bronco all decked out and took there a lot way back. Does everyone still pack beers or has gone the way of everything else?
@ScenicCityAdventures
@ScenicCityAdventures 5 жыл бұрын
Oh ya, I'm sure a lot of people still bring beer. We see the cans, bottles and trash on the sides all the time. I can usually fill up a trash bag on the way back there.

@@ScenicCityAdventures that's both good & terrible at the same time. Cant imagine 4 wheeling without a few cold ones but cant see the need to f up the scenery either.

Are there any trials out there that are friendly to a stock 4runner?
@ScenicCityAdventures
@ScenicCityAdventures 4 жыл бұрын
Absolutely! There are a ton of trails that are about right for a stock 4 runner. If you enter Prentice Cooper all the trails on the left of the main road are doable. Most of the trails to the right are as well, but are often more difficult. Even Haley’s road can be done by a stock 4Runner, but the water is pretty high right now and I wouldn’t go alone.

Yep, just stay on the left trails. They parallel the main road. Once you get to the end of those it pops out by a little cemetery and the main road. Follow the main road down to snoopers rock for an incredible view. After snoopers rock there will be more trails and if you drive to the very end of the main road there’s another really pretty view.
