Sweet I have the same chest rig in Grey. Couldn't beat the deal got it on clearance for $35. Your hack sounds like a great solution... I'll give it a try when I find some stiff foam

2 questions...do these retain steel mags? and do these work with agilite ag3 placards?

You can also buy Velcro Stickers and cut them to fit on both sides. Esstac attaches their inserts like that.
