Still find it hilarious ABH was formulated out of Valve trying to add negative speed so forward hopping wasn't possible like in retail, yet it inadvertently made you faster than retail lol

I personally don’t find “liminal” places terrifying like a lot of people but comforting, I guess it’s because where I grew up everything was run down and rusty.

Ok, but the forward hops and backhops were almost perfect. What would you get if your bhops were perfect?

Accelerated back hops give ridiculous speed, even with just half decent back hops, you can build up enough momentum to get past the parts of highway 17 which require the vehicle.

Hot. Nah but really it's interesting how each brings something different to the table. Hl2: steam has the highest speed and acceleration but also has the least control since you can't really see where you are going, while Hl2 with Hl1 movement has the least speed but better control. And half life retail... Sure is there... Not that i think it's bad, just boring lol

You jump with turns. If you look left, press left strafe. If you look right, press right strafe.
