This is a great video. It also turns out that most people who raise rabbits get liver flukes. As a nurse I saw different things in regards to parasites toxoplasmosis is one of the worst as there is no real cure just a long laundry list of antibiotics you take for the rest of your life off and on, kind of like Lyme disease. He didn't think much of it. Hwever, Upon returning home after a week his eye acted like it was infected. He went to the doctor and of course they prescribed oral antibiotics and viral and antibiotic combination eye drops as the doctor was extremely concerned about the redness of his eye but it didn't look like pink eye. Indeed it moved also into the other eye that's when the doctor said you need a specialist. The ophthalmologist with his specialized Machinery was able to see the parasite yes the brain- eating amoeba luckily had not gone up his nose straight into the sinus cavity and to the brain. They had gone into the eye and the eye has a very strong barrier against anything to get to the brain however optic nerves are shared with each other. He lost full sight in one eye partial sight in the other. He had to sell his business to his son and retire. His doctor told him they were lucky they caught it when they did another week or so and it would have been able to pass into areas that would have let it into the brain. To watch a robust man become blind and look death in the face simply because A bug flew in his eye made us all realize how quickly one second can change your life.
