Some Tips and tricks for newcomers for halibut deadbait fishing. Sometimes it works better than jig or trolling. Beutiful sceenery from north norway in 4k quality. Remember to chose 4k quality from player window even if you dont own 4k monitor.

Nice video. You can grab those wolffish under the belly brother. No need to gaff them. They settle down and can be more easily released. Thanks for the rigging tips.

Yeap, same here. I have seen van with 4 - 5 coffin freezers and full of fish. just insane.

I love the fact you guys throw the big slabs back. I hate americans here who throw all the smalls back and keep the biggest ones here out of washingtong state. Its bs. I keep the small eaters and anything over 30-40lbs goes back into the sea. Awesome video bro

Thats the spirit, the big old ones taste like crap anyway and are way too coarse in meat =D so better eat small ones with great taste and let the big ones spray millions eggs more, and thanks for the kind comment!

Welcome back this season! Was that a Sabiki rig you used to catch the coalfish? The hooks seemed to have some color on the shanks.

Thanks a lot !Its my old mackerell rig, it had red rubber pipe around the hook and hologram " wing " but the wings have been ripd off by fishes long time ago, so there is basicly hook and red rubber pipe on hook and bottom lure whats purpose is just to work as weight. i havent seen exactly same sold for a long time. easy to make yourself tho.

Nice video. But might I suggest you need the hook point showing, now buried in the head of the Sei. :-) 😊

Thanks! yeah you are correct, but i haven't seen any necessities to put hook differently because halibuts are hooke 99,9 % from the back stinger, but you are correct ,could put it otherway =D

What kind of boat have you guys goten your selves? Does it work well for 2 persons fishing at the same time? I'm curious becouse i'm considering upgrading my Hansvik 18 ht.

Vi har en Rana 630 TS med styrhus i aluminium. Det er mer enn stort nok for to personer å fiske samtidig, men om du behöver 1m3 fiskekar begynner det bli trangt. Hva kan jeg si.. jeg personlig setter veldig pris på oppvarmet styrhus, spesielt her i nord når det kan väre kaldt også sommeren. Skitt fiske!

Yea, kinda dangerous fellows, big ones can cause some serious damage in the boat if they are loose, fex crush some toes. but delicious!

Onko tietoa että myydäänkö tota nylon lankaa millä noi syötit pidetään kiinni tuolla norjassa? Olis reissu pian viikoksi norjaan ensimmäistä kertaa ja ei kerkiä varmaan tilaamaan netistä :/ Bodon suuntaan menossa lajikalastamaan, kiitoksia näistä pätkistä, saa paljon tietoa reissulle :) 👍

kyllä myydään hyvinvarustetuissa kalastus kaupoissa, itse tilasin skittfiske putiikista, ja joo niissä aina saattaa kestää kun tilailee :( ja kiva kuulla että auttaa :) ekaa kertaa menossa ?

@@FishingwithJaska Joo täytyypä kierrellä kalastus kaupat läpi ja juu ensimmäistä kertaa ulkomaille ja vielä kalaan 😁 Täytyy varmaan lohtakin käydä joella koittamassa, onkos kesäkuu hyvää aikaa siihen hommaan norjas?

@@Denofu nonni ei muutakun kireitä siimoja, ei hermoja :) kyllä on oikeen loistavaa aikaa, suuret kalat tulee jokiin ensin, mutta sulamisvesiä paljon, vedenkorkeus ylhäällä ja kalat usein pohjassa :) eli jollain se viehe sinne alemmas niin alkaa tapahtua :)

This is a precious resource that deserves basic protection. Too many have abused it for too long. So if you have a freezer box at an airport and an international destination, I will go full "Karen" on you and report it to the authorities then and there.

Absolutely nice and firm great meat. Light taste. Meat is really fine and delicate and it will work perfectly on oven / bbq dishes. Cusk fishmeat can take much higher temperatures than most other fish.

Tämmönen paketti kun: Inova - bait binder kirjota hakuun niin löydät varmasti, elastista kumilankaa mitä tupataan käyttää syöttikalastukse yhteydessä, voi surrata vaikka katkaravut nättii pakettii kirjolohen kalastuksessa niin ei heti lähde syötit kävelemään, pallaksen kalastuksessa hyvä kun pysyy stinger koukut nätisti perässä kiinni ja syötti paketissa.

Googlettelin itsekkin juuri, näköjään amazon uk, tai norskin kaupat salar sportfiske ja skittfiske ainakin nettikaupoista näytti löytyvän. Ja juu todella kätevää " narua "

This shows some akward winding. Here in Australia we wind with whatever hand feels most comfortable. We don't adhere to some rigid nonsense. Well, the normal people anyway. Or the butt of the rod combined with the rod bucket makes the reel too far away. You can buy oversized slip on butt caps for rods.

Had that kinda oversized knob but atleast with my strenght in arms, fighting 100 kg halibut over 1 hours makes me very tired =D you guys must have a much bigger muscles in australia =D well i guess what you prefer, i just had enough of black spots on my crotch, so much simpler to use belt, just perfect for me
