It’s sad that we will never see defense like that again. My favorite games were always the low scoring defensive battles. Being a ravens fan was like that cause our offense was never that good but our defenses were feared. The 2000 defense especially. You can argue others for the greatest of all time but you can’t have the argument without debating the ravens as number one.

I use to hate Ray Lewis being a 25 + year Pats fan until I started to listening to him talk and understanding him and truly appreciating him as the player he was and the person he is. Between him talking about family, football overall, how he looked at the game, how he looks at life and so many other topics etc I became a fan

I never saw Ray Lewis play, he retired and went into the HOF before I started watching and following the NFL. I watched his HOF speech when I was learning nfl history and decided that he was my 2nd favorite player of all time.

That 2013 season in the playoffs demonstrates this. Everytime a reciever caught the ball, they were getting hit. And hits in the cold winter where the ground is harder feels different in the playoffs. By the time it was 4th qtr, them boys were droppin passes cause the hits startin to add up

Everyone loved John Madden because he was a former coach and he could guide an audience that didn't understand the intricacies about the game by explaining it in simple terms. I think that Ray Lewis could be the next John Madden. I hope one of these networks just give him a shot. Why? It's because he deserves it. He's brilliant.

Nah. Gord was a ghost of himself at the end. He was a ticket draw for the OGs. I saw him and his boys in the WHA and he just didn't have the wheels. Instead of fearing to go into corners with him, it almost seemed like opposing players were pulling their hits out of deference. In all fairness, Gordie's game-style and physical sacrifice took a far greater toll than anything Tom has endured. And I love me some Tom Brady. More like Cal Ripken Jr., methinks. 👍

As a Patriots fan, I always hated facing Ray Lewis as he would often spoil the party. But as a fantasy football team owner, Ray Lewis was always the first defensive player that I drafted onto my team. Every damn year. You bet! 👍

I dont see brady retiring until 3-5 seasons. Because brady still has it and actually is just as great as ever. Brady has zero reasons to retire besides his family. Brady is probably the most competitive athlete ever. The only others I would compare him to is Jordan and kobe. The difference is brady is still at an elite level and not suffering serious injury after serious injury. Kobe was falling apart the last 3-4 seasons he played. Jordan was still really good when he came back but he wasn't bulls jordan. Brady is playing some of the best he's ever played and being a quarterback he's not gonna suffer to many crazy hits.

Both. Ray was the brain and the heart and actually would and has hit Brady. Reed was the brain and ballhawk. But Brady had to never worry about getting hit by him and his physicality wasnt that imposing. Unlike a Harrison, Dawkins or Lynch etc
