I know right? And honestly, she can definitely put me to sleep at the oral surgeon’s office because I’m getting my wisdom teeth🦷 removed again in a couple weeks. Yes, this is part 2 of the surgery. So far I got the upper wisdom teeth removed last month while being awake, and now pretty soon I’m gonna be either sedated or put under for the lower tooth removal. Listening to her beautiful voice can help me relax as soon as the surgeon / doctors inject💉 or apply whatever medicine to make me fall asleep as soon as the IV sedation or anesthesia kicks into my body before they start the procedure! Haha 😂 So yeah, wish me luck - I’m nervous as you can imagine, but I hope the surgery goes well when that day comes 🤞😬

there seriously couldn't be anymore of a perfect ariel halle bailey is the definition of ARIEL she portrayed the character SO BEAUTIFULLY it truly sickens me that we live in a world where grown adults are whining and complaining about this saying "not my ariel" "she ruined the song" "how dare they take this away from us" whereas we're seeing children genuinely SO HAPPY that they get to see another black princess in the disney community representing them although i do agree with some people saying that they need more original black princess and they ARE INDEED DOING THAT WITH THE NEW MOVIE WISH coming later on this year HOWEVER mind you that THIS IS A KIDS MOVIE if the kids don't care what a mermaid supposed to look like then these adults shouldn't be talking SO EXCITED FOR THIS 1 MORE WEEK AHHHHH

It would have been better if they made her an original mermaid in the same oceanverse instead of rebooted an already existing character. Nothing against the actress or representation, but put them in a new role with new goals and ambitions....that's my only complaint about it.

@@samanthathrower8069and that’s fair enough but they didn’t and I honestly don’t think anyone else would have done the role justice like Halle has. No one seems to care when historical characters are whitewashed, so a fantasy character being represented by a Black person really isn’t that deep.

If Disney wants a black princess, they should explore characters from African mythology and folklore and hire African actors for the roles. But that would require effort :/

Omgosh exactly. Everyone, Rob Marshall and another director was looking for an Ariel and they heard her sing and found her. They didn’t even see her skin color. They heard her voice and soul and knew. Good grief!!!!

Is it me, or does having locs actually seem to suit being a mermaid better? I wish her stylist could incorporate shells or beads into them somehow, or that they could make them a bit more red. Regardless she's a perfect Ariel and she's been serving looks 🤩

Watching this video is what sold me on Halle's casting. I'm ashamed to see that I was apprehensive about her playing Ariel, but watching her cheerfulness in these interviews and seeing how she interacts with those kids makes me realize that she is Ariel incarnate. I cannot wait to see the movie!

Warning. Blacks are threatening and following through in assaulting and causing bloodshed on any whites to show up in the movie theater to watch this. They claim this is a black movie so stay away. Entire white families are being taken to the hospital in ambulances from the theater and the black community just laughs and says we warned you.

Princesses and royalty do follow a protocol. They act humble and dress appropriately. I worked at a high end suit and dress shop for years. I understand fashion and it’s appearance/wear at appropriate events.

Saw it last Wednesday and it was breath taking. It totally exceeded my expectations. Even Joshua King or whatever his name is, I didnt like him at first but he grew on me. He is such a great singer and actor. The castle, the beach, the ocean, the music... It was brilliant. My favourite part was where they fixed the error with the statue as in the live animation it exploded into pieces but the face seemed hollow and the statue plaster like. By letting Ariel hold the statues hand instead of a piece of the face, you can tell it truely crumbled into pieces except for the hands which can come off in one piece. What a wonderful correction and eye for detail.

Halle Bailey is such a gorgeous human being inside and out! She radiates so much genuine heart and warmth every time you see her. I am convinced that she means absolutely every single word she says. She carries herself with such palpable humility and grace. You can completely tell that she does feel genuinely honored to have been given this role and to have been given the room to be this beacon for inclusivity and voice for children of color. I adore both her and her sister and have been an avid supporter of their music careers for so long. I could not be happier when I heard the news that she would be cast as Ariel. I’m not the only one, but I had said that she had the voice of a princess and now she gets to be one! So excited and moved to see the trail she is blazing. She deserves the world!
