Substations being disabled seems to make the 30 units that General electric sold them the principal power for freight. They may not have as much trouble with Heat Kinks in a climate like theirs?

@@danielhutchinson6604 They can be troublesome in climates where temperatures swing widely, like the high plains of the US. But, the maintenance and repair savings make them worth the bother. So much less wear on wheels, axles, bearings, brakes - the whole truck holds up much better.

@@franklinbrooks9506 Any look at Rail ends shows that concept. The ability to maintain that rail is a bit of work, but can be accomplished. Ukraine Rail Systems now appear to be counting on 30 General Electric Locomotives to move all of their freight. They seem to have difficulty with their Substations?

Vermutlich wurde die Fahrt zwischen dem 11. und 17. Dezember 2022 aufgenommen, denn ansonsten gab es in diesem Winter überhaupt keinen Schnee. Auch jetzt liegen die Temperaturen wieder deutlich im Plusbereich und weit und breit ist alles grün.

Schöne Mitfahrt! Auch interessant zu sehen, sind die KS-Signale der ersten Bauart: Vorsignale mit gelben Mastschildern und der Vorsignalwiederholer mit weißen Kreis im Mast bei 2:09:18 !👍

Leaving Nordhausen (1:22:22), on the right hand one can see a steamlocomotive of the HSB, a narrow gauge railway in direction to Halberstadt, Wernigerode and the Brocken mountain. 🙂🚂

2:12:12 - The pole on the left (first on the left after the sign for km 169.2) is the location of the former East/West German border (now just the border between the states of Thuringia and Lower Saxony, the latter being traversed by this railway for less than 1 km before entering Hesse; Eichenberg station is already in Hesse). Almost no traces remain of the formidable barrier that used to exist there, but if you look closely, there is a little gap in the vegetation on the left side that is not yet completely overgrown. In summer, or at least without snow, there must be more traces visible.

Kleiner Tipp. Verwendest du das Wort Führerstandsmitfahrt im Titel dann werden deutlich mehr Leute über die KZfaq Suche auf dich aufmerksam. Zum Beispiel Führerstandsmitfahrt Halle -Kassel über Eichenberg. Ansonsten super Führerstandsmitfahrt 😀

Hallo schöne Tour. Hat leider nur einen großen Haken. Über Eisleben hinaus bin ich noch nicht gekommen. Dann werde ich wieder mit dem Autoplay kurz vor Berlin wach. Habe es auch schon mal geschafft, zwischen Lübbenau und Brand Tropical Island wieder zu gucken. 😅🤫😴🚉😴👍🚂

Ich wette, es war ein Bussard. Die sind recht schwerfällig und unaufmerksam. Im Gegensatz zu Krähen und Raben, die zu den intelligentesten Vögeln überhaupt zählen. :-)

@@alexandrpoznukhov4395 Ну у них и вагоны соединяются цепью, в России, США или Индии, автосцепки, у них составы не длинные, но ездят они часто, да и + европа не такая большая, там не нужны длинные поезда, а семафоры походу просто так, память сохраняют, хотя они работают, если на то пошло у них и паровозы до сих пор гоняют, а стрелки автоматические, за исключением мест где поезда ездят редко, там ручные.

Sometimes the traffic controllers do this so that all the points are moved and, colloquially, the "tracks are derusted". In this case, however, the continuous main track was closed (recognisable by the red boards below the left signal at minute 22:40).

Je celkem smutné, že jezdíte v Německu pro tamní firmu s filiálkou v Česku, a potkáváte na trati kolegy, kteří mají daleko větší žold než vy. Dívím se, že to berete jako na pohodu. Jinak video super!
