I knew a few things about the mask before seeing the movie, but i didn't know they made sure to have a stab hole in the neck from when Laurie stabbed him with the giant sowing needle. Great movie and worth the time and money to see it. Congrats and hope to see the sequel in time for 2019!

This is by far the best looking mask of the series. By that I dont just mean in the movies. On set they used several different mask, each one more weathered than the last. They wanted to make the mask decay and age, as The Shape did. Sadly the only reference of this specific mask I could find is this video and a picture. I believe this is the final and most weathered version. If anyone knows what scenes this is from, or if you have any other reference, please link

Yes this is used in the scenes at the end where Michael is in Laurie's house. You can tell because the hair is more wild. But I think they only used this mask for the shots that took place in the dark. I think they changed it back to another mask for the shot where Michael is looking up at Laurie from the basement before it catches fire though, not sure why.

Wrong. They used one mask. Chris Nelson just placed padding inside and moved the padding around to create a different look for certain scenes.
