If Michael was on the back of that motorcycle with Corey after the whole killing doctor and nurse scene, it would have saved the movie for me. Its also hilarious to think that Corey just left him back there so he had to walk all the way back to the sewer. My biggest question though is how exactly do they communicate? "Hey dude, be here at this time we're about to do some killing" lol.

This trilogy is more than the character of Michael Myers, it’s the essence of Evil affecting those around it like Laurie, Dr. Sartain in Halloween (2018), the town of Haddonfield in Halloween Kills, and now Corey in Halloween Ends. This film sends a good message about how to heal from your trauma and getting it treated if not it would lead you to a dark path hence Corey. I love this new direction but I understand those who were let down by it because it wasn’t your typical Laurie vs Michael film as advertised but we already seen that in H20 and Halloween (2018) it would be pretty repetitive at this point imo. As a long term Halloween fan (been watching for 19 years now), this film is my 3rd favorite in the franchise and I hope this film will grow on people because rewatching might make you appreciate it more

"The Shape" that possessed Michael Myers was starting to possess Corey. For a second I almost thought Halloween would never end.

Corey wasn’t possessed. Michael isn’t “supernatural” in this timeline regardless of how they portrayed him (which I agree should have been more consistent). This whole trilogy was about Haddonfield, not Michael. It’s the effect he’s had on this city. Corey tells Laurie she should have let the evil in when she looked in his eyes. So I think Corey just went crazy from the trauma he’s endured from his past. He’s the opposite of Laurie. I also think he thought he was special bc he asked Allyson if Michael let her live or if she escaped. I think the Corey story would have been better in like a 8-10 episode miniseries. This trilogy also mirrors the first 3 movies. 2018 being a love letter to 1978, Kills upping the ante like H2. & now this movie being drastically different like Halloween 3 was. Even had the same title font. I think with time people will come around and see this movie as being a nice alternative from the simple formula. Halloween is pretty much the Batman series now. This trilogy is over, but there’s gonna be a new timeline eventually & someone else will take a crack at their version of it. As long as it keeps making money, the movies will continue.

I really like this movie a lot. I know a lot of people don’t like it but they also don’t care about the story but Michael just slaughtering people. Which isn’t a bad thing but it would of been a bit much and felt like pointless killing. Back in 2018 I hated the idea of someone else putting on the mask but now as long as it’s done correctly, I’m ok with the idea. This could of had potential if the kept Corey alive instead of building up his character to just kill him off like that. This was an alright ending to the story.

They should have let this franchise die long ago. But, they wanted to keep milking it. Just like Friday, the 13th keeps milking it, at least Nightmare on Elm died gracefully (so far).

Disappointed in the movie. I wish the movie was more Michael and Laurie focus since this is the final battle between them. As well disappointed that Michael was barely in the movie with no explanation as to why he was so weak since in Kills he was damn near unstoppable. I loved this movie. It's in my top 5 easily. I hated Kills, it was just a killfest with no story and no character development. This had everything Kills didn't have for me and the best parts of this was Corey/Allyson. After Corey died, I lost interest. I didn't care for Laurie vs. Michael because there was no build. Sure, this movie has it's flaws and felt like it should of been a middle movie instead which I agree, but I came in expecting disappointment but came out satisfied. I disliked Act 3. Michael basically in this timeline, needs to kill. Like Laurie said in Kills, everytime he kills, he transcends. Michael being in the sewer hiding out, without that supernatural power is reduced to just a weak, old man which is interesting. He needs to kill to get that energy back. So that's why Michael recruited that old man to lure people in, then gave some of that evil to Corey. But Corey started killing and he soon became stronger than Michael. Kills, Michael was badly wounded from the mob fight. It's an interesting concept to explore. This is what Donald (Dr. Loomis) wanted from Jamie Lloyd for Halloween 5, Jamie to be the new killer the evil being passed down. He always had an amazing vision and but his ideas always rejected. Corey and Allyson's relationship was so cute and Corey's story was this awkward geek who has an accident with a little kid, then the town paints him as the new boogeyman and has this tragic story. Allyson tries to save him from the darkness of Haddonfield, unaware Michael passed on some of his evil into him,and there's just something intriguing about a story like that. Amazing performances by Rohan and Andi too, Andi is the definite Scream Queen of this trilogy. Loved her reaction to Michael in 2018, then in this one seeing Laurie with a knife standing over someone she deeply cares for, damn good acting.

I liked this trilogy a lot. It shows what trauma does to not only the victims, their loved ones, but the community as a whole. Some people didn't get in Halloween Kills that it was pulling from pt 2 & pt 4. In Pt. 4, a group in the town decided to go after Michael themselves and killed an innocent kid. They just did a better job of showing the hysteria and mob mentality in HK. And in this one, it shows how one kid is transformed by an accident and the town turning on him. Sad but good. It's been a while b/c I'm behind on She-Hulk but good to see your guys' reactions again.

Michael appears and punches the bully's teeth and lips with his fists & they think they gonna go one on one against the shape but no he ends up pummeling the bully henchmen with no mercy and steps on the bully's hands breaking it The Bully leader grabbed a switchblade to pose a threat to Michael and said I'm gonna finish you!!! Michael Myers sense him as a threat and grabbed him by the throat squeeze it with bare hands and shows no mercy the bully leader hit him to no avail on him and Michael kills him and dropped him like he was nothing Michael sees Corey and walks away Corey sees the dead bully leader and his henchmen are injured and bleeding badly from Michael Myers's severe beatings and said karma got them and walks home

I know the running joke is that they will make more halloweens, and they will. Blumhouse said like two months ago the rights went back to the rights holder, and the guy said they want to make more movies with michael. They said Ends is the FINAL time laurie will be in a halloween movie, her story is done. They also said they don't know if they are getting the rights back to make more or another studio, but there are more coming with mikey, and not to expect another movie for like some years (4-7 is what I'm thinking). I hope another studio gets it that is actually competent, and understands the character better. You never, EVER can show Myers be weaker then a 90 yo cancer patient that weights 50 pounds.

If ur a true Halloween fan u would know that in Halloween 4 one of the parts of that movie that the fans loved was the fact that Michael died and Jamie Lloyd was the new Shape. The fans who loved that movie now have a problem with this make this make sense. It’s the reason the same people who loved Halloween 4 hate Halloween 5 cuz Jamie was set up to be the next Shape instead we got the trash that is Halloween 5. Also the director and producers told y’all Michael wasn’t going to be the focus until the second and final act but his presence would be felt through the people in the city. This is why John Carpenter hates the Halloween sequels cuz he knew no matter how trash they were as along as Michael is in them heavily the fans wouldn’t care. He set Halloween up to be an anthology. He does not like the beloved Halloween 2 cuz it ruined his vision. So I have no doubt he likes this better than the past sequels.

As far as the storyline for Corey I was definitely invested in it but it shouldn't have been part of this film maybe like a spinoff or another sequel. This should have been more about Michael and Laurie throughout the film rather than just Allyson and Corey. Overall the intro was great, it got a bit plain during the middle part of the film and the conclusion was good. I'll give it like 3.5/5 overall.

Let’s face it, as a fan of Halloween, the creators behind all the sequels, remakes and reboots have no clue how to make the franchise better and show us something original. John Carpenter said in an interview years ago when he and the late Debra Hill got a three picture movie deal with Universal Pictures two of three movies the executives at Universal Pictures commissioned a sequel to Halloween to which John and Debra told them there is no more story but the executives insisted they write a sequel. So, John Carpenter said he recalls sitting at his typewriter with a six pack of beer not knowing what story he was going to tell. At the time, Empire Strikes Back was huge with Darth Vader revealing to Luke he was his father and John thought to himself he’ll make Laurie Michael’s sister. John Carpenter admitted even then he knew it was a bad idea because he said explaining why the killer kills isn’t scary. These sequels, remakes and reboots are cash cows cashing in on the name, the brand. These are not movies anymore and the fans get pissed because as professional movie watchers they think they can write a better storyline and there maybe some truth to that but as long as we, the fans, the movie watchers are at the mercy of the creators direction which inevitably fucks up the franchise like fucking up a one car funeral! Sad to say but true. Halloween would’ve been better off not having these worthless sequels and just be a stand alone horror classic it is. We don’t need two remakes to Black Christmas. We don’t need two remakes to Texas Chainsaw Massacre. I mean, shit, none of the creators know what to do with Jason and the Friday the 13th franchise. You know ideas are scrapping the bottom of the well when they think sending the killer into outer space or have the setting for the next sequel or remake or reboot take place in New York! Plus, we don’t need horror novels made into movies and it has all these changes done or it has nothing to do with book at all. There are a lot of better and great ideas to make a great, original horror movie but why should studio executives at any of these movie studios take a chance when they can rely on a formulaic way to make horror movies that is dumb, a complete waste of time and the studio creators know how to milk money from the fans. I’m sure you three were thinking to yourselves, as I did while watching this sad, pathetic excuse of a movie, “I could’ve wrote a better storyline than this.” The story I have would’ve picked up after Halloween: Resurrection and I would’ve tied up loose ends including Halloween III and explained just enough to bring all up to date and end it with a family reunion bloodbath. My title would’ve been Halloween: Revelations and I would’ve ended the franchise in the early 2000’s, not 2022. Catch you all next time!! - Gene A.

I don't think this was a cash-grab. I think the reason they did the movie the way they did is because they wanted to do something with the franchise that the fans had never seen before. I mean, think about it. Mike has always been the main killer in all of the Halloween movies. Honestly, making someone else the killer was sheer genius. Especially since this is likely the last Halloween movie. With Mike as the shape, that is. It was something I had never seen before. Something the fans had never seen before. All and all, it was a great film. And a brilliant way to end the Halloween franchise.

'Halloween Ends' made over 56 million globally several days ago. Honestly, I was a little disappointed because the 65-year old Michael Myers should have killed these characters instead of a messed up young man who was a babysitter.
