The problem is kills was so bad that anything ends did was gonna be looked down upon But I agree ppl will look at this in a new light years from now

I believe as time passes this movie will be appreciated mucho more.

There's no misunderstanding... it was a mess. lol Laurie Strode prepping herself out to be Ripley from Aliens in the 2018 Halloween, then doing a 180 in Ends. Her daughter was killed, Myers is still on the loose and she's acting as if nothing has happened. The town is still celebrating Halloween as if the previous movies never occurred as well. The movie was close to being billed as Myers v Strode and Myers is absent from most of the movie. We get some dude named Corey, who if their goal was to turn him into the killer for future movies might have made sense, nope. Corey even mentions that if he can't have his girlfriend, then no one else will, then kills himself, okay... As a stand alone film, it was okay, but contextually, not much of it made sense. What would have made more sense was to introduce Corey in one of the previous movies, then slowly build the tension and his ire leading to the events that transpired in Ends, not make him into the killer and have a love story. We all have our own opinions, but there's a reason this movie has received so much negativity. I only mentioned a couple of obvious flaws, there are plenty more. I will agree they did try something different, I'll give them that.

I agree with this, I look at the whole reception of Haddonfield, in a realistic scenario on good and evil, and how it’s a disease inside of us; laws of nature. And to the respects of giving DDG his shot at a Halloween trilogy.

Imagine if they did ends first and instead of acting like Michael got locked up right after H1, make it that he was hiding in the sewers the whole time. Corey makes people wonder if he’s back bc he’s a edge lord.

Halloween Ends was worse than resurrection. If you think this is the second best halloween film then then your tastes are pretty bad.

I agree, I grew up on all the Halloween movies since they came out back in the days and Im pretty satisfied with this new trilogy.

i keep hearing people parrot this "its not a cohesive trilogy" and yet nobody explains what they mean because cohesive is exactly what it is if nothing else. Its the same story, same themes,etc the only bail i can shoot is the different tones, that doesnt take away cohesiveness as every part of the story doesnt need to have the same feel, this is a 3 part story. Different scenery and character focus also dont cancel out it being the same story and themes. Great breakdown overall, but you've also made some common mistakes here in understanding: Corey overpowering Michael is ordinary. This IS the same Michael that in his peak at 21, struggled with Annie, Lynda and Laurie, which the latter almost killed him multiple times at that. There's no exception to be made for a 24 year old man who is stronger than Laurie, Lynda or Annie, to overpower Michael, Thats just a symptom of misunderstanding whats happened to Michael. Had Michael not been OLD, it shouldnt matter then correct? as he wasnt old and he was stronger in halloween 4 where he took out an entire precinct full of armed police but then little 17 year old frail babysitter Rachel was able to fend him off with nothing but foam from a fire extinguisher. "Laurie has almost no trouble taking him down" is laughable, as this is the HARDEST she's ever had to fight him in the franchise: In H1, he missed her everytime, she stabbed him 4 times and only got a grazed arm. In H2, she shots his eyes out, Loomis blows him up, thats their whole scene of the movie H20, she beats him all over the house, and again gets nothing but a graze on the same arm lol its not until 2018, Michael actually beats her ass for once and almost kills her and in Ends not only does he whoop her ass all over the kitchen, the amount of shit she has to do to kill him is more than she's EVER HAD TO DO in franchise history.. (Slit his throat after puncturing his lungs, and while he was bleedng out, he still had the strength to rip his arm free, through the bones and choke her out while choking on his own blood... yeah she "had almost no trouble" after being thrown into cabinets, the fridge, thrown across the room throat stepped on and a knitting needle being driven through the side of her temple Thats all i got, i stopped watching after you said that, just took your video quality down severely

I like Halloween Kills for what it was. I didn’t even notice the social commentary until people told it was there bc I don’t care lol Why we acting like we didn’t enjoy see Michael unleashed? Halloween kills was just about everything people say they want.

How can you disagree that not having Michael in Halloween Ends isn't a betrayal? It is called Halloween Ends, not New Halloween Begins.

Nothing misunderstood about it. It’s awful, simple as that.

This is, without question, the WORST and most despicable Horror Movie I have seen since... I really don't know when. First off, I refuse to include this recent trilogy in the cannon of the Halloween franchise. It could have been much better. The first one, "Halloween", was decent. The 2nd... not so much. But this one, "Halloween Ends" is nothing less than a giant slap in the face to longtime fans. To not have Michael be the main focus and THE "slasher" in this movie was quite LITERALLY the dumbest decision they possibly could have made. No, this movie sucks from beginning to end. It will hopefully be forgotten and never mentioned in the same breath as the rest of the Franchise ever again.
