Halloween Food in Japan

We just landed back in Japan, and have found it completely transformed into Halloween mode, and we're SO PUMPED! We love Halloween! So we're going out around town and trying some of the Halloween food specials we're finding, including McDonald's Pumpkin Chocolate Fries, Baskin Robbins Habanero Chocolate Ice Cream, and some weird Lotteria burger that looks like it's barfing purple crap.

Halloween in Japan is no joke! They've got tons of decorations everywhere, and lots of weird foods to try, like McDonald's Chocolate Pumpkin sauce fries, and Baskin Robbing UV Ice Cream.

I just came back from a 2 week trip to Japan and noticed they really love their Halloween there. The hotels were decorated for it and subways plastered with advertisements. Great video about their Halloween themed foods. Wish I had more time to try them out.

My husband, kids and I do a theme every year for Halloween. This year we're going as the Gems from Steven Universe. So, if we showed up to trick-or-treat at your house you would see me dressed as Garnet, my husband as Pearl, our 10 yr old son as Amethyst and our 3 yr old son as Steven. The family that cosplays together stays together. 😁😂

Kuroki Yami it's called melon bread because it looks like a melon but authentic melon pan shouldn't be melon flavored but just crusted with sugar and fluffy on the inside

olivia james I'm sure authentic melon bread is just as you describe, but there are varieties in more recent years that are flavored. I see them in Marukai and other little snack places around LA, probably just an option to suit the taste of the region/young people around here.

aye this is why I don't translate your video even though I really want to. Vietnamese doesn't have that many tenses but it has a much more complicated system of calling or addressing people. I just got back from Canada today!! (For thanksgiving) and I nonstop ate and drank Tim Hortons Bc it's not in NY (except upstate and I'm near the city) BTW!!!! My grandpa MET AND HAD COFFEE WITH TIM HORTON a long time ago!

Okay... so I've lived my whole life in Canada up until now, where I've been living in Korea for the past 5 months (and probably for another 4). And 20 seconds into this video I'm completely agreeing with Martina - Halloween is SO 'meh' over here! (;_;) I adore Halloween but it's like barely even a thing even in Seoul, so disappointing! None of my Korean friends really want to do anything to celebrate it, you could hardly even tell it's Halloween looking outside even in Sinchon -_- Japan... you keep that spirit goin, y'all

I think part of the issue is that Korea is only in these past few years really starting to embrace Western and Japanese culture. Japan has been adopting parts of western culture for decades now and has had a much larger western presence there, so Halloween is a lot more celebrated at this point. I'm sure Korea will get there at some point.

Omg halloween is my favorite holiday!!! I'd dress up as dia de los muertos rapunzel because that's this year's halloween costume! it's my first time celebrating halloween back home in nyc in SIX YEARS because I've been away at school!!! can't wait to go out and have fun. I'll be sure to take pictures :D

Just because I'm tired and feeling like commenting on everything -- Japanese Halloween in pretty much only in Tokyo. Once you work your way out to the "inaka" areas or other prefectures, you might here of a small Halloween party here or there, but nothing over the top, and you'll run into quite a few people who have either never heard of it, or think it's pretty weird. If you want the REAL JAPANESE HALLOWEEN EXPERIENCE spend the night in Shibuya. You will not regret it! :)

I’m from Brazil and I love halloween sooooo much. My husband and I are going to japan in october and I was dying to know if they did celebrate halloween.
