Who else thought that Halloween H2O was not that bad

It's ridonkulous how expensive this set it is going for now. This set actually came out on my birthday the year of its release so it was a no brainer to buy it. Definitely a holy grail piece in my collection, and I'm sure for many film collectors.

My "theory" behind Halloween 3 is that they were hinting to the fact that Michael Myers is actually a "robot". Which explains why he's so hard to kill, never bleeds & doesn't talk.

Sean, not sure if you learned about this yet, or not, but someone named John DeHass, (at least, I think that's his last name) ...he adapted the original Halloween movie into a Stage Musical parody. his tag line for it; The Night HE Came Home... TO SING!!! 😆 I heard the cast recording on spotify, and there's a video for the musical here on KZfaq, on his channel, and, well, it's pretty funny. I haven't seen the original movies it's sequels, or even the remakes, but this musical is as close as I probably want to get to seeing one of them as a whole.

I'm very lucky to have a DVD of the first one signed by John Carpenter. Also, it looks like terror in the aisle is available as a dvd-r from Amazon.

Watching this again after buying the 4k’s all the special features on the bonus disc here are put on the 4k’s making the only things in this set worth keeping is the outer box and the booklet

Man I love the Rob zombie remakes I think there awesome Edit - (My opinions havs changed since last year but I still like the movies, I still enjoy Rob zombie films but I've come to appreciate the originals now)

Well, technically, not 100% complete even before this new movie that came out. The theatrical cuts of both Rob Zombie movies were missing as well as a documentary or two. But don't get me wrong, I LOVE this set. Besides, I have the missing documentary (well only one that I know of, maybe another one or two I don't know of), and the theatrical Zombie cuts on DVD anyway.

While the Anchor Bay and Anchor Bay/Scream Factory editions of Halloween 4 and 5 have the same fairly basic special features, the NSM versions have the special features from the bonus disc from the fifteen disc set distributed among them according to their relevance to the particular movie. They do have German language menus though, and may or may not have a special feature or two without English options, but I believe I've checked both in the past and all of it was English friendly. Their edition of Halloween Resurrection, on the other hand, contains the documentary featurette which was originally in English dubbed in German with no option to turn off the dubbing, nor to turn on English subtitles.

A recent 4K just got released of the first one, I guess as a means to promote the new one.

I agree wity u on rating yes nighmare on elm street dvd boxsett with the 3d glasses for freddys dead makes the number 1 spot fir top dvd bluray horror boxsetts to own... and 2nd of course is the halloween series of movues, 3rd Friday the 13th movie boxsett, and tye Scream 4 movie set which has a bonus 5th disc that includes 2 documentaries abiut tye entire scream franchise.. and i believe it includes as the 2nd documentary the speciak as seen on the bio channel Scream The InSide Story which is totally full of making the original 1996 first ScreaM movie, and the Chucky Childs play film boxsett

Great "Closer Look". So far I only have two of the movies on DVD, the original "Halloween" and "Halloween III:Season of the Witch" also on DVD. True story about my experience with "Halloween III", I first saw it on AMC in 2004 (I think), and I hated it. I too succumbed to confusion because Michael Myers wasn't in it. But after numerous re-watches and learning more and more about it, I now consider it the best of the original sequels. But anyway that's a great set right there, granted I could do without some of the sequels (Halloween 5, 6 and 8), but that'd be a cool set to own for the novelty. Sadly haven't seen the new film, but I've heard nothing but positive reviews from most critics and fans, so it must've done something right.

Is there a difference between 25 years of terror 2 disc and 4 disc editions? I was fortunate enough to get the 4 disc version 2 years ago on Amazon and I was lucky indeed because the prices on both editions have gone way up. To get one new, at least at my end costs £90, I got mine at...well let's just say it was a good deal.Hoping to see the 40th anniversary showing later today.

I just wish they would have had both cuts of Rob Zombie's Halloween 1&2 other then that a great set.....

U forgot to mention on the 30th anniversary edition of H2.. it is known as the contriversal title credits where in the opening title sequence un8versal removed Moustupha Akkads name and just had universal dino delorentis presenfs halloween 2.... and the documentary terror in the isles yes is a rarity documentary to have but it is noted thatit is specially narrated by Dr. LOOMIS HIMSELF Donald Pleasennce.. which is kind of cool to see him talk about all the different types of horrror movies there are and includes scenes from H1 and H2 snippets to go along with the other various horror films he mentions

If they decide to keep making Halloween films i think they should do it like this, one year Michael Myers movie, one year Anthology movie, one year Michael Myers movie, one year Anthology movie, Kinda like what Disney have been doing with Star wars. That they can please both fans who just want more of Michael Myers, and those who want the Halloween themed Anthology series they always wanted.

Nice Halloween Blu-ray Collection. I would be ok about if, every Halloween movie was anthology. I like Halloween 3: Season of the Witch. I'm a fan of Nightmare on Elm Street Movies. Nightmare on Elm Street 6, was my first Nightmare on Elm Street movie, that I saw.

So, the first movie is not the print with the original blue tint I imagine? If that's the case then I will wait to see if they correct this and release a proper box set down the road. Also, waiting for the set that will include all those edits found in the basement of someone's house many years ago.

Still, the TV Version does better on character development than the theatrical cut. Also, Shout Factory omitted one deleted scene in that version, right in between the Michael Myers walking down the street and Karen pulling up to park. The scene is Mr. Garret talking about drugs. Is there any difference between the Blu-ray cases that have blue, red, black, and clear across the top? The Halloween set has the black color across the top of the cases, while the Friday the 13th set has clear across the top of the cases.

Disc one is NOT exactly the same as the 35th Anniversary Edition. It contains a commentary that one doesn't with Dean Cundey, Tommy Lee Wallace AND Nick Castle, who primarily played the role of the masked Michael Myers or "the Shape". Also, the Halloween 2 1981 discs are exactly the same in content as the Scream Factory Collector's Edition set. The only difference between the two is the artwork. BTW, the NSM Halloween 2 mediabook of which 500 copies were released combines the Scream Factory and 30th Anniversary versions, and also contains material both in terms of content and, of course, packaging, that neither does. It has the German versions of both the Scream Factory discs, the soundtrack on CD, AND a disc labeled Terror In the Aisles, which not only has that documentary on it but, much as the bonus Blu-ray disc from the Anchor Bay/Scream Factory set has the first movie's TV version on it, the Blu-ray disc contain the TV version of Halloween 2, which is almost definitely the only official Blu-ray disc made which has that version of the movie on it. The ten disc version of the set contains the first Halloween and the first Halloween 2 (1981) discs from the fifteen disc set. I actually didn't get the fifteen disc set until about a year ago. After seeing all the listings on Ebay for it with the average price for one in good condition being around $160, I was surprised and elated that after a lot of digging I was able to find one for $80 from a Missouri-based company's website with the only "defect" being a little scraping or some kind of wear on one of the edges of the slipcase/box! Now people are selling the ten disc set for more than that!

I hate Halloween III. It’s a terrible movie. It’s riddled with plot holes and silliness. So my dislike has absolutely nothing to do with “not having Michael Myers” in it. The reality is that most of the Myers sequels weren’t all that good, so I think an anthology idea would’ve worked if they made a better film.
