So we sent resident mimoZine correspondent, the Super Sucklord, to finish the fight at the midnight launch of Halo 3 in NYC & bear witness to the melee 1st hand. It did not disappoint. With a spectacle worthy of a major movie release, this video game broke the opening day gross sales record and in the process set the stage for a new form of popular entertainment.

As a kid growing up I always wanted an Xbox 360. I finally got one when I was 10 and the first game I played on it was halo 3. I miss those days, it's sad that bungie dosen't make halo anymore.

You can tell this launch event was a perfect time capsule for gaming media during the mid 2000's. You got G4's Adam Sessler in his prime as one of the hosts, Big screen monitors playing clips of Red VS Blue, Gamers from all walks of life not arguing over who is or isn't a true fan but just enjoying the party. What a time.

I was 16 at the time. Just got my license 2 weeks prior and a few buddies and I drove to Charlotte NC and went to their midnight release party. It was crazy but nothing like this. We skipped school for the next few days and played halo 3 the entire time. Good times. Wish digital downloads had to wait a day or two so we could bring back the launch parties!

I was 13 years old i remember getting my copy Friday and begging my dad to let me play it. He texted yes, all by myself I played through the campaign and was in awe. I like halo 2 campaign better but 1 month later we got xbox live gold and halo 3 became the greatest multiplayer game ever 🎮
