So i decided to try a different format so even if one character gets rekt they can still get some kills with their buddies. Tell me what you guys think of it. If you have any suggestions id love to hear them.

Damn, those are spartan 4s? I thought they were ODSTs. But the Spartan AI Are always bad. Look at the Halo 3 Spartan AI. They're actually worse than these. And slightly worse than the marines.

I didn't even need to watch this to know that the Spartan 4's would only win 2 rounds. And only with Rockets and assault rifles. Halo 4's AI's were woefully unbalanced. And stupid.

They should allow us to do this in Halo 5. Be able to spawn an A.I and command (In Forge options? or game options?) to battle each other, or walk around of some sort.

***** Wouldn't it be cool if they added in combat training? the A.I's battle you, and you have your own team and such, like in CoD. And you have every Matchmaking gametype to choose from, invasion, grifball, etc.

Spartan II's : killed thousands of elites and knights after waking up from the pod and falling from the space, SOLO. Spartan IV's : couldn't even kill a knight in 1v1 Seems legit.

Not sure why 343 couldn't just implement something similar to an elite's A.I... Spartan 4s don't seem to move very fast, or shoot very often... Almost like grunts.

The Spartans and Elites share AI in both Reach and Halo 4. The Spartans have a slower "methodical" version of it to make them seem more Spartan-y.

I expected them to shoot at least a little more acurate. They didn't even hit most of the time, let alone headshot. Also, they fire rocket hog rockets directly to the body, so when the enemy is partially visible, they waste ammo on a hill in front of it

Spartan IV logic: Has automatic gun, starts burst firing it. Has grenade, doesn't use it. Notices that a enemy is on the verge of death, runs away Has a close range weapon, tries to snipe with it. *Face Palm.*

6:16 - The epitome of this match-up. The Spartan IV gets shot twice by the Lancer Knight, then fires his first shot and misses before dying to a third snipe.

I wouldn't even say the Promethean AI was good. Knights just have their fancy teleportation ability, strong melee and speed. Other Prometheans just rely on numbers to make you think they're single handedly being smart.

What I hated about Halo 4 was the covenants appearance. The grunts look like fucking frogs and they just make weird noises. Bungie had the grunts have a voice that you could understand.

They did look weird but technically they aren't the covenant they are the storm which are a faction who don't agree with treaty which is why they look weird and they didn't learn English plus I like the sounds the elites make.

I'd say it proves that Spartan IV AIs aren't that good, but it doesn't really prove anything about whether or not Knights are fun to fight. (though from personal experience I would agree they aren't the most fun)

The Spartans die because there not aggressive like the other AI. A bit stupid as they are meant to be super soldiers and they need 3 to take out one knight. Obviously in lore they are much better, but still, they could be better in game play.

Same with the marine AI. Lore wise they're supposed to be very skilled. But so far the AI hasn't been all to good. Halo 2-3 had some decent AI

I don't think they're as good as the Spartan IIIs. The III's had just as much training as the II's did, wheres the IV's are basically just ordinary troops with augmentations.

Spartan 4s are not Spartans. They are promoted ODSTs running around with Spartan gear.. Not real Spartans.

ODSTs with the same augmentations and surgeries as the IIs. The only diference is that they are volunteers and adults.

thegreeenbeast Are you kidding?!?! Spartan IIs and IIIs out do them by so much! You must know nothing about Halo.. I mean look at MC and the rest of the Spartan IIs such as Kelly, Linda, and Fred. Each Spartan had insane skill and a incredible back ground.. You put a Spartan II or III against a Spartan 4 and the Spartan II or III will win hands down.

I am not letting favoritism cover what is actually true.. Spartan IIs and IIIs were born into war.. I mean around the age of 10 they could single handily take down two huge grown ODSTs. They have way more combat experience ob the field. Marines are like the army in Halo and the ODSTs are like Greenberray/Marines. The Spartans were beyond Special Forces. A Spartan 4 just does not stand a chance in my opinion.

Also I want to see the records of a ODST that's a Spartan 4 that has accomplish as much as a Spartan II or III in combat has. Kills, missions, skill, and so much more. There is none..

that marine 13:30 is stronger than the Spartan IV and those grunts 14:40 are stronger than the spartan IV everyone is stronger than the spartan IV

Veronica Jackson But that is unrealistic, if the player wants to play, he can kill them b4 the AIs, and if he wants to let the AIs do it then he can just hide... And anyway some AIs like marines, aren't good enough to kill certain enemies realistically so the player may need to do something if there are only marines

Johanan Micaiah Friendlies AI's are designed to play a support role. Their main purpose is to distract the enemy and give the player a false sense of being in a team. Take Battlefield for example, most of the AI's don't actually hit anything most of the time.

Knights just have a lil' better weaponry, plus human weapons aren't effective against them, covenant are. And they're just that fucking smart. Also, the marines dont drive on these maps because they don't know how and where to

Most of the time they are scripted with objectives or something. This is just throwing them together without any AI objectives.

Friendly reminder that Halo 4 Marines have killed more Knights than Spartan 4s have. That 1 Marine with a Grenade took out a Promethean Knight better than any lone Spartan 4 ever has in the Campaign.

I like how the grunts in Halo 4 are actually dangerous. In like a pack of like 10 of them can wreck elites, knights, and so on. Jeez, yet the Spartan IVs/Marines can't even kill one knight without needing t outnumber them by 3 and they would still lose more troops than grunts. Drastically different then when grunts were in Halo Wars. Lol.

So the spartan IV's don't shoot when they have the option, don't dodge when they're being bullrushed from a mile away, and don't melee when they can. Incredible AI programming.

Halo 1 AI was pretty good, just that the characters were outnumbered, outgunned, and had less health. Give the marines snipers and shotguns, instead of the pea shooter assault rifle, and they'll wreck everyone.

***** Johnson with his sniper rifle could attack from 90 world units away with bursts from 2 to 3 seconds,... he basically unloaded the entire clip into a single enemy, hitting it every goddarn time, even from a warthog. Was it anti-economic? Maybe. Could he smash a troop of Covenant on his own? Darn hell he could.

Halo 4 had the worst AI ever.... of all time. Halo Reach had pretty bad Ai. I saw 2 marines on Pillar of Autumn get completely destroyed by a jackal with a plasma rifle. Halo 2/3/ODSt marines shared pretty much the same AI and they were pretty good. I've seem them kick ass. Halo 1 had decent AI, but the weapons were very powerful making them more efficient.

It doesn't help anything that the human AI is about as smart as half a box of rocks. "I have a rocket launcher; what should I do? I know; I'll run up to that alien monstrosity and kick him!" I know it's deliberately designed that way to make the player feel like more of a badass just by being semicompetent, but still.

So this means that it takes three Spartan IVs to do what one Spartan II can do with only minor struggle, can someone explain to me why every Spartan after Spartan II have been downgrades? I know that Spartan IIIs were supposed to be a cheap alternative but what's the story/purpose behind the Spartan IVs? I have yet to read Glasslands (I own the book but I just haven't got around to reading it) so I don't exactly know the full story.

Spartans V = Glorified ODST's , they suck 343 should just keep ODST and marines. btw you should change the map, the knights have that tiny hill elevation that gives them the edge because they are taller and have the high ground you could tell right away on the rockets hitting the ground while the knights blast could hit the marines

Not really, it's just that marines and Spartan AI needs to shoot more often and move faster. Spartans should be emptying clips directly into their heads at any range. Marines should, at least, go back to their Halo 2 levels of proficiency.

***** They were though. I remember removing their shields only so they would teleport away and get them back when they reappear. Not to mention their sword strike is a 1 hit kill. The elites sword is also a 1 hit kill but at least they can't do it from a football field away. They are a total nightmare when there's watchers around too.

I for one loved them. They added some challenge where before it was just a slaughter fest. But screw the watchers..... I ragequit the Spartan Ops mission where you fought nothing but them on legendary.

theDefault I never found the Promethean Knights to be as difficult as the Elites from Halo Reach. Despite the Knights' ridiculous health pool, they were easy for me because because they were very predictable, even on Legendary. Knights are basically dumber, more durable Brutes from Halo Reach.

Saber Plate I knew this confusion would pop up. I meant the ODSTs in Halo 3, not Halo 3: ODST. The ODSTs on the level "The Ark" have good AI, they can engage superior Covenant forces effectively even on the higher difficulties, especially if they are given power weapons.

That Spartan AI is completely AWFUL. I know they're there just to spice up the game but jesus christ couldn't they make them a bit more intelligent? Or at least a bit more resistant? "Oh i'm getting shot at by a Promethean heh lemme just stand right here and get shot 3 more times before i shoot only once, then i'll just run towards it so he fucks me up in a single melee hit, IM A SPARTAN" Jesus, even GRUNTS can defeat sword elites with less casualties than fucking SPARTANS.... I've seen the Sangheili AI and it's so much better, these guys really are as good as marines.

Omg Spartan IV's are PATHETIC! How did they earn the rank of Spartan?! A marine without weapon can beat these sad losers. No wonder why they were so amazed to see the Master Chief. He can exually kill a Knight without trying. And these Spartan IV's can't even go on a 2 V 1 with them. Is the UNSC exually proud to have Spartan IV's?! LMAO!! The Covenant and Forerunners are laughing at their backs, like "Is this srly all that these sore humans have to offer?".

So how long does the UNSC train Spartan-IV's for? A couple of minutes? Because they do not know how to fight. The enemy have glowing swords, don't get so close them, might also help to aim at the head.
