For the rest of the world, pc is the most common platform to play games with because laptops are just as accessible as consoles, and most people in third world countries could not afford to pay the $20 monthly fee on consoles just to play online.

They literally released Halo 5's forge mode for PC, so I'm surprised they didn't implement a cursor with direction axis controls for objects.

One thing I'm looking forward to is the revamp mods like we saw with Ruby Rebalanced and Reach Evolved. I would love to see a mod that rebalances the weapons and AI to breathe new life into the sandbox. Imagine being able to import H2A assets to make Halo 4 look more like the next step in the look of the franchise. This game really was a diamond in the rough.

Eldewrito's forge controls were amazing, creating maps was very easy on both input methods. MCC feels very clunky, but it's not a mouse and keyboard problem.

I hope they listen to my issues. Being a halo insider, I really hope that the few niche issues I say are heard. Like Supporting the steam input api Better sensetivity options on controllers. You can change sensetivity for aiming in normal aiming, but not when weilding a turrent, riding a vehicle or holding a turrent Let us turn off aim assist when using a controller Letting mouse & keyboard input to be read at the same time as comtroller input. For me, it's for better gyro aiming. But also, letting me change volume and move play the game at the same time I'll let yoy guys to find out what gyro aiming and steam input api are

This game is my second favorite after CE. Halo 4 is the best looking Halo game in my opinion, with the best art direction and most realism. Even back when it was released it looked as good as any console game regardless of system. Today it still looks better than many games released more recently. I still play it often with my buddies.

Been playing the Halo series since CE in 2001 and Halo 4 is my favorite Halo game out of them all. Pretty excited to now try it out on PC.

I personally can’t wait for this. I’m not that old, being in high school, but when this game came out, my brother and I, who’s young, played the hell out of the forge multiplayer, creating huge battlefields where designed to look worn and old, like the battle was a long time ago and the survivors left all their least important gear when they left. We unfortunately stopped until the MCC’s launch of its forge, where we once again went at it. Thanks to the upgraded controls of the Xbox ones controllers, we made it even bigger, pushing the engine to its limits as we tried to stuff as many tanks and warthogs into ragnorak (I don’t actually know how to spell that). I can’t wait for the pc’s launch, where now I can create similar memory’s with people who moved away long ago. And, thanks to the new cargo hog, broadsword and pelican forge vehicles, we plan to finally finish our dream battle fields

Thanks to this port I can play modded halo campaign on my monitor or TV with any controller I want with and at framerates greater then 120 fps (and even lower my graphics to get even higher framerates for competitive play) and change my fov. This is the definitive way to play halo

I kinda wish you got to see the ship explode alongside with the nuke at the end to give us the illusion that master chief had died

I never got to play this one, on my 3rd broken/dead 360 I just bought a PlayStation. Not worth it for one franchise, but with MCC i can now finish reach and replay my favorite odst, after 1&2 of course.

Halo 4 is my favorite Halo. That ending still gets me to this day.

Great video! New subscriber here! You are probably aware but it's probably worth mentioning to anyone who is not that you can download Halo 5: Forge for free in the windows app store to try Halo 5 custom games with MKB as well as use a forge mode designed to work with MKB!

Playing Halo 4 now, and its still looks amazing, I use nvidia sharpening and color filters to make it look modern and its super nice.

Halo's upgrade to having the crosshair in a normal position has been wonderful.

have they fixed the lighting in the cutscenes though. the original xbox 360 had beautiful lighting in cutscenes, that was broken in mcc for halo 4

I went out a couple years ago and bought a used xbox 360 for $50 and got halo combat evolved remastered and played through. I was disappointed to see that halo 2 remastered was not available on the 360. I went full pc and then they dropped the MCC and I replayed through all the old games and then even played through halo 4 which I never had the chance to. It's amazing to see the series alive and well now.

My only gripe with Halo 4, aside from loadouts, are the hud of the ranged weapons, they limit visibility a lot, ironic coming from weapons that its main strength it's supposed to be its high vision range, and the brightness of the game, is just too much

A couple things that are possible on PC that weren't on Xbox are support for Ultrawide and modding. Already Halo 4 has shown a lot of promise with what kind of mods will be possible, I'm quite looking forward to it.

I've been an FPS PC player for years now, but I did move to PC from the Xbox 360. At first I was really bad at aiming with the mouse and had to play games with my 360 controller, but after playing CSGO it forced me to learn the basics of mouse aiming. Now after 6 years of mouse aiming, I can't aim on controllers very well at all anymore because of the aim acceleration that I'm just not used to anymore.

I love how Halo 4's flight is turning out well. The game really was held back by old hardware. (360) Yes I know the Xbone port exists but I didn't get an xbone until early 2018. I mostly played the 360 port until I moved to PC. Sure it's not the best Halo, but I still had fun and that's what really matters.

How is it crossplay when you're forced to only play with one or the other?

Can you do a video on what it would have been like if the only information about the Forerunners was from Halo CE, Halo 2, and Halo 3. Like, pre-halo 4 forerunners. I really liked the vagueness of them and the ancient technology they used.

I've never had an xbox so I've never been able to play halo myself until mcc pc. I had heard a lot of stuff about halo 4 and sprint etc but assumed that I wouldn't mind because plenty of games have sprint and I don't have any nostalgia for the series. Man I was wrong, I got into the flight and the campaign is great but I cant stand the multiplayer, the changes are just too janky and weird

I'm not sure what the hell they were smoking when they ported Halo 4 to pc, but I'm running it maxed out at 1080p using an Intel i5-4250u and a pcie 1x adapted RX 550 4gb and I'm landing 60fps. It seems it's EXTREMELY optimized! I had more trouble running Reach with a 1% low of 10fps averaging around 30!

1 thing that bugged me was how strong the battle rifle and assault rifle were. they each made all other loadout weapons pretty much worthless

As a PC player I also highly value the archival aspect of PC gaming. With some work practically every game ever release on PC can still be played on modern hardware.

5:00 the Halo 3 vehicle turn speed is a fickle matter. It breaks balance in this sense, as the bullet will fire where your crosshair is, NOT where the turret points. Very difficult sneaking up on pc player wraiths and tanks when they can spin around and shoot you faster than a console player

I had fun with the campaign with my brother. Really good. Wish Halo 5 was better and had split screen though

The main difference between late 7th gen and 8th gen is usually the textures. 360 just didn’t have as much video memory compared to the Xbox One. If the textures ever get a 4K upgrade it’d look really good cause the geometry of objects is already good.

Online matchmaking supporting your input device. Oh glob that sounds like a slice of heaven.

Series X may be able to do high frame rates and resolution, but PC is still king because it's the only way to play at Ultrawide (21:9) resolutions like 3440x1440.
