I've always enjoyed the Halo series not just because of the 'cool action' or 'killing spree', but more or less for the amazing story it can tell, involving aliens invading another world not just because they wish to enslave the human race or whatever other games publish, but for a religious purpose, which seemed to be kind of overlooked in Halo 4.

The first game was always about the mystery, the world development, not really about the story at all. Honestly the story was fairly normal. Halo 4 lost some of that mystery, I think, and it had too much self-reference and similar.

The Covenant being zealously religious isn't overlooked in H4, it's just not blatantly stated. The Storm actually side with the Didact because he is Forerunner, and they revere him as a god.

The Precursors have tier 0 technology compared to the forerunners who have tier 1. The Precursors created the forerunners and the humans. They created the humans to destroy the forerunners for whatever reason.

Conner MEDU The humans were created to destroy the forerunners as they were corrupt. The precursors were unable to battle. The forerunners began to revolt. So, the humans were created. Ultimately, humans won but were pushed to another planet and a small few stayed on one planet. Covenant units are forerunners. That's why humans have battles with them. I do not think the humans were to destroy the forerunners for no reason. The precursors (according to my knowledge) created the humans in an attempt to make them their clones.

Personally I found the campaign in Halo 4 to be the most engaging and interesting since Halo 3. Halo Reach had a better multiplayer but its campaign (in my opinion) was slightly lacking.

It was very well done overall, the reason people don't like it is because it's so downbeat unlike all the other Halo's so far. And you basically know how it ends. The execution though, for Bungie's final Halo, they knew how they wanted to present it, and it came out phenomenal.

Reach was awesome. Multiplayer felt much more fluid. Halo 4's multiplayer looks good at first glance, but if you get into it you realize it's entirely luck based 90% of the time and laggy or glitch the other 10%.

I have played Halo 4 and Loved the story has it expand most of the things I truly wanted to know about the Halo universe (Forerunners, Master Chief and Cortana). Gameplay wise, I loved the fact that an entire "new" species arsenal became available (Forerunners robots stuff basically) BUT So much changed in the game mechanics because of all those new items/weapons.... (Not all quite good ideas to be honest...) My favorite gun of all time, the good old AR from CE was still sounding like a freakin stapler, GOD when will they make it badass again!? And finally, just something random I felt during the campaign in particular, is it just me or I spent so much time RELOADING, 32 in clip of the AR? Just for fun here are the numbers: Halo CE: 660 rounds or 11 magazines - 60 round per clips Halo 4: 224 rounds - 7 clips - 32 per clips Made me REAL mad, didn't bother with the multiplayer mainly because that I felt those weapons really needed more work in term of gameplay mechanics and all. Overall, good game for the story, if you are a die hard fan of it like me in my opinion, reach was better in both aspect of the game sadly.

I hated Halo 4, not because it was a bad game just because of what they did with the storyline. 343 have no doubt just jumped on the oppertunity of making more Halos, without really thinking of an in depth storyline and just looking for excuses to leech of Bungie's universe. I played it for about an hour and gave up, it didn't feel like Halo at all. Sincerely, Brad - A diehard Halo fan since 2002.

I played multiplayer as well. I also disliked the loadout system, the whole points per match xp and most of all when I saw a mech I quit and me and my friend put the disk away never to be played again.

He was a SPARTAN - II, but Cortana quotes in the opening area: "I rewrote your suit's firmware while you were out". He was upgraded to a SPARTAN - IV while aboard the Dawn.

Collin Barnes Yup. It was, but I did always have fun tormenting my little bro by making ONE spawn point and no reload (bottomless clip). I got in a warthog and just kept shooting. :)

+Dennon Belk The Covenant was in ruins. The San Shyuum were basically extinct. The Unngoy and Lekgolo had splintered into mostly following the Elites, the Jirahlnae were pretty much useless without strong leadership and the greater economy of the Swords of Sanghelios/ UEG meant the Kig-Yar by and large abandoned the Covenant.
