@@virtualbison6928 That's not true at all, have you played infinite yet? I've been playing Halo since CE released and I've never driven a warthog that felt like this. It's too light.

@@sakataslays I've been a part of it since the first flight, in my experience the warthog is more slippery but in a good way to be more nimble and quick. The majority of my experience of the warthog is from Reach.

@@virtualbison6928 it does seem faster than it used to be, which could be why it's more likely to roll over but I think they should make it heavier. I'm sure I'll get used to it eventually but to me it feels like a super tipsy hovercraft, not a warthog. Maybe I'm just driving it too fast though.

While I 100% agree, would you have preferred they delay the entire game by a few months for everyone just for them to add co-op? Wouldn't you say the open "beta test" of the multiplayer was them releasing the game with missing features (the campaign)? The we-want-it-now nature of us consumers is what put pressure on developers to release incomplete things. Especially with all the delays that have been going on.

Halo is a single player game with a co op option. It is not integral to the base experience. I understand the disappointment but there are millions who have enjoyed Halo solo since CE.

We just want to play a game that isn't shit or incomplete or greedy it isn't a tall order and it isn't asking much folks need standards this game cost Microsoft & 343 over half a billion dollars over 4 years no forge for over a year no co-op for half a year. Halo 3 took 3 years to develop all modes and features right out the box Reach 3 years all modes and features right out the box and they developed ODST inbetween Reach's launch. Stop justifying & rationalizing incomplete cash grab products to consumers.

as a halo nerd who read all the books, even i gotta say the main level design is prolly the weakest in the series (yes lower than 5). good story tho

I am and I feel most people should be happy that 343 actually took the critique serious and went another route before it was totally to late and the whole series died. Yeah it needed a little more, could have used snow, warthog run, the road level could have been 3x as long, there were some cool things in halo 4 and 5 that they didn’t try to replicate like flying a pelican for example, I also liked the grunt holding a skull in 5, more story in 5 but people complained about that, we skipped too far ahead imo, completely missed the Cortana war, where is Halsey?

So are they redoing 4 or something?? I dont get where the hell this campaign is going at all. Its like they completely disregard what happened at the end of 5

Halo Infinite was delayed in August 2020. Cyberpunk released in December 2020. I don't think there's any connection.

@@Geeler that's true, but I don't think that's hard enough evidence to say that it scared 343. The buggy and unfinished final product that Cyberpunk was at launch was far more impactful on the gaming industry than any rumors of rocky development at CDPR could've been. I mean, God of War (2018) was delayed internally and there were rumors of troubled development at Sony Santa Monica, but the game ended up being great. Same is true of Halo Infinite. There's no way to know for sure what state a game will launch in until it's released to the public.

This halo has my favorite gameplay and i had more fun than the other ones. The grapple hook mechanic carried my experience. I was spamming it non stop like If I was speed running the game. It doesn’t have the best storyline compared to halo 3 or even 4, but it was definitely worth the purchase.

@@MO_Disk I think the original comment is just implying that even more variety is never a bad thing. The nemesis system specifically would work great with halo since the covenant actually have some personality, more so than enemies from a lot of other games anyways

I wouldnt be surprised they did it so that they can just sit back and pounce on another game dev that makes a similar system, to squeeze some extra cash.

This is the first game I'll be playing on the Series X that I've actually been waiting for to impress me on the console. Outriders looks fantastic as does Forza and fun to play but these games are what you're waiting for.

Muliplayer is dope

Bascially same man, I was like 4 or 5 when I first played HALO CE, HALO 2 and when HALO 3 came out later on. But I had more time and memories on the 360 as we sold the original XBOX hence why HALO 3 will be my all time favourite game, has a special place in my heart. 14+ years later and I'm still finding/hearing quotes, features, how much skulls can't impact the game, and a bunch of other stuff that I've never heard/experienced in ALL these years.

Its a planet sized ring - there may be alot of DLCs to come. Would be crazy to have like a gravemind OR precursor DLC - tired of it always being forrunner ... forrunner....

it needs it the first biome is rather dull but I can see it getting better over time. I hope they dont do a rockstar though like with GTA 5 and just do multiplayer stuff and forget about single player.

They did say that halo infinite is the last mainstream halo game, but they’re going to continuously be adding on to the story of halo through infinite, hence the name halo infinite 👀

I played the MP beta and in some aspects it WAS better than 5 (which was a total abomination from start to finish) but thats really not saying much. I felt like the pistol and maybe AR could have used a buff (but not to the degree where they outshine the BR and DMR).

So what is it like most missions take place on the ring then some make you go off world?

It's still an open world as opposed to the other games where one mission and story would lead directly into the next. In an open world the mission just sits there until you feel like getting around to it as if the enemy just sits there doing nothing as you run around wrecking other shit all over the place. Sure, you can play one story mission after another, but that's not how the game was designed. You probably have to do some of the side stuff to progress in the story. Is there a difference if you play just the story missions straight though? I doubt it. At least with the mission structure of past Halo games they had the excuse of not having the time to call reinforcements or sure up defences. Even if they were warned that bad guys were on the way (to the bad guys you are the bad guy), you'd show up before help could get there for them.

I wouldn’t really consider this a hub world. It’s more of a traditional style open world than just a hub world you visit to do certain things and connect one part of the map to another. It’s all one big open area to explore. Hub worlds are places like the one in demon souls you go to to get to the other realms or like the sanctuary in borderlands 2 etc

@@toeleg maybe he's new to halo, for me as a halo veteran player, I played it on heroic than Legendary. Currently on the 3rd mission on Legendary.

@@JuanMartinez-vr7bg Legendary was a lot of fun, but boy are some of the bosses straight booty on legendary. And a few of the non-boss/mini-boss sections were almost just as hard if not harder. Hunters are SCARY again in this game, at least on Legendary, which I enjoyed. They're so fast. Other than a few of the bosses and the indoor chieftan/hunter sections, this was a very easy campaign on Legendary compared to the other Halo games solo, but boy do they make up for the difficulty with those fights. Very, very much enjoyed the gameplay/ movement mechanics though. Felt really well polished.

Play on easy breeze through it. Its what I did after a few levels on legendary. Game wasn't fun and stretching out with difficulty didn't seem like a great idea.

Couldn't even bring myself to finish the first mission. Such a let down that it was a single player campaign as well with no split screen as other halo games.

The main problem I found with infinites story is that it suffered from trying to push away from Halo 5’s story a lot. Otherwise, I would put it as 3rd best story.

They could rip that one good mode from Gears of War: Judgement and play it well. Start with like grunts and standard elites and jackals. Work your way up through brutes and top out with hunters.

Bro the combat is crazy when you're utilizing tools and stuff nothing I've ever seen in Halo.. feels a little "doom-ish"on the first 2 levels(all I've played) but it's fantastic

There are rumors/concept arts, I hear, of there being other places on the Ring in future installments, however they tackle that sort of thing. I can't say for sure, but I can surely hope so!

me too me too, and every level had different places and they all felt so different and had different atmospheres. sigh, Halo 1 was the pinnacle of halo games, with some halo 2 missions being pretty cool and some halo 3 missions too I guess.

From what I remember the reason it's called infinite was due to the idea of them adding more to the ring. Similarly to halo 4s spartan stories which would release more content every so often to add to the story of halo. I imagine they are going to stick to that idea and continue the story and add more map in seasons.

It hurts me so much that the missions are all pretty much the same and there isnt coop on launch.

Have you ever played a Halo game? It has as much story as any other. This one is just much longer than the others so it's spaced out more.

I'm extremely bummed out to find this out. I've always had such a blast playing co op and I cannot imagine running through it without a friend I've been playing with since 3. Guess I will be waiting until they add co op.

Make a good Halo game is the goal. It’s not hard and 343 doesn’t deserve any praise. They’ve failed Halo since 2012. Infinite’s campaign is watered down in favour of generic base capturing Far Cry elements.

@@zenicehero9154 same I wasn't that big of a halo fan reach was my first one and I only completed halo 3 but since it is open world they mind just change the environment to keep the players coming back with skins based on themes for like challenges also should add some new creatures now and then and I'd say the single player open world campaign can last a good 2 years

I liked halo reach’s campaign a lot too. It wasn’t as great as the original halo trilogy but I enjoyed the campaign for what it was and ended up putting way more hours into the multiplayer than I thought i would when it first came out

@@rodplays3726 If not that, an in game weather system would be sweet. Imagine you roll up in the warthog to fight a boss and as you walk (or grapple) towards the boss it's starts thundering and lightning. The atmosphere 😱
