Halo Infinite's banished phantoms destruction is a huge let down. Its ghost destruction is all right tho.

I know the guns sound more realistic in Infinite but I prefer the more unique sounds of Halo 3s weapons.

The gun sounds in infinite suck ass, I can never tell who is using what against me. So probably explains why I haven't played it since launch

The sound design of Halo Infinite is pretty good and all, but it does not hold a candle to the Halo "feel" that is distinct in 3. I always feel like something's off about Infinite, and this shows the oddities with great detail. Awesome video!

I agree totally! Something about the audio has always “felt off”. But the biggest issue for me is Infinite’s terrible lighting and textures-the game always looks plasticy to me.

it's hard to believe that a 2007 game has better physics than a AAA game of 2021, also has better explosions, and fire, and grenades, and vehicle destruction...wow, halo 3 has better everything than a lot of modern halo and not halo games, good on you bungie

I do agree and disagree at the same time, the first mission on infinite has very impressive physics when escaping the ship blowing up, seeing grunts getting squished by debris flying off a wall from an explosion never gets old not even scripted either said grunt has also survived by missing the debris in different playthroughs. Also the new physics in infinite forge is far beyond anything halo 3 did back in the day judging from the videos I've seen of it aswell. Halo 3 still has impressive physics tho drop ships blowing up and the debris from it still looks far beyond what infinite did for example.

It's sad to see that 343 still haven't quite lived up to bungie's effects animations. Cause damn 3's effects are amazing

For a game in 2007, the way 343i acts as if games are going in reverse, now in 2022 it's harder to make a game??? Fuck off!

The water displacement in 3 from just standing in the river still impresses me. I haven’t seen a game have that much detail in water until red dead 2 Edit: Actually, the water effects from the warthog landing in the water was super impressive!

Of course halo infinite overall is a better looking game than halo 3 but certain things still look better in 3 like water physics and vehicle destruction. People have to remember this was Bungie in their prime tho and even they themselves aren't even close to their prime only need to look at Destiny 2 to see that.

Halo 3 explosion effects are way better than infinites. The vehicles just have more omphh imo

I really like Infinite man (my #2/3 campaign), but the vehicle destruction is dissapointing comparatively. I do like how shooting wheels impacts driving physics tho.

I like it too. Im glad you like Halo. I wish that more Halo fans liked Halo. Don't ratio me in the replies, I won't listen. You haven't been dragged through the mud. Every Halo game is good, even 5 is better than most AAA FPS games out today. You wanna know who's really been dragged through the mud? Star Wars, Star Trek, and soon to be Lord of The Rings. I love all these franchises dearly. 343's changes in 4 and 5 are meh at worst. You have no idea what it's actually like to lose a franchise.

Halo 3 deserved an anniversary edition. I don't care how much 343 says it's graphics still hold up. It does, don't get me wrong, but imagine it got the treatment halo 2 anniversary got with the cut scenes alone.
