TTK isn't even a problem. It's just Halo. It's one of the things that separates Halo from the CODs and Battlefields. And it makes it so that skill is gonna win you more gunfights, not just getting the first shot in

This just made me feel old. I never thought I’d see the day where Halo TTK and mechanics had to be explained. Halo was such a staple back in the day everybody knew the mechanics, not anymore.

Halo has always had a long time to kill. It’s not call of duty or valorant.

There isn't even a ttk problem man. It's only a problem to those ppl who only play cod and other super fast ttk games. They don't know what to do when they have to hit multiple shots in a fight.

TTK is not the problem it’s the collision when melee, I had some encounters where both players are trying to melee each other and both lost track of each other. I been playing lot to notice the melee collision.

Time to kill is no problem for me. It’s actually faster than previous halo imo.

Actually love it, means you need to stick together and work together to drain shields and it means you have time to get out of trouble to regen. Its got a different character to other shooters. Its one of few things it actually makes it really good.

Personally I think the TTK is perfect for ranked mode.

Tbh it's always been this way in Halo and I've never seen it as a problem. I think this Halo hits the right spot in my opinion. I'm currently Onyx 1543 as I make this comment.

Love the content as always but this isn’t even an issue. This is cod players expecting 250ms ttk material and with halo it just isn’t the case it actually takes a good aim to do well in this game. People can fire first and still lose a gunfight. This is quintessential halo.

The ttk definitely feels longer than previous halo. I feel im fighting terminators all the time. Run up on someone and put a full clip in their back before they even react then gotta chase them while reloading. Run out of ammo just fighting two enemies. I remember halo two had a good ttk. No issues. This is crazy

The TTK in Halo Infinite is perfectly fine. It's how Hallo has always been and should not be changed. However, there are a couple weapons that need to be buffed a bit. Ravager Nerf has made it basically useless, especially compared to how it was before the beta. It went from a cool new weapon that had a perfectly fine TTK, with an area denial secondary fire you could use to help in control game modes like CTF and Stronghold, to a weapon that everyone pretty much actively avoids now because it's so weak now. Another weapon that is very underpowered is the VK47 Commando. It has the potential to be a great mid range weapon but the TTK is way too high. It takes 8 shots to break a shield, and if you don't get a headshot on a shieldless opponent you're looking at 11 shots to the body in order to kill someone. Even if you basically have perfect accuracy and tracking you'll still get beat out by basically every other weapon in the game. Imo even if you kept it at 3 body/1 head shot to kill a shieldless opponent but lowered it's shield break to 5 or 6 shots would keep the weapon's TTK balanced. It's just way too underpowered as it is imo.

2:36 grenades have hit markers now so you know exactly if you’ve hit someone with a nade. You don’t know how much damage has been done unless you outright kill them, however. You would know this if you’ve played the last week. Or in the flights.

I’ve been playing halo since CE and play all other shooters but the ttk is still annoying af sometimes, it literally gets boring sometimes that I’m chasing some dude because he just won’t die then get clipped by other enemies somewhere off on the map

This isn’t a “problem”, this is how the game flows. Also as you say you are diamond 3, I am onyx rank and it seems like it’s wayyy to easy to reach it. Doesn’t seem like a high skill bar to reach

Thanks for this video man, this is what i needed to show to a friend who is just trying to get into halo but is too used to modern shooters and told me he doesn’t like the TTK in halo, as a halo veteran but not a player of the other games you made comparisons to i couldn’t explain too well this kinda stuff to him since its just natural to me, so this video really came in handy!

I can't imagine thinking of TTK as a problem... It's what makes halo distinct and it's why halo is hooking me again in a way other shooters haven't. I enjoy the split-second element of other shooters and it's very addictive but like. Having longer TTK just tests a different skillset than other games and that's a good thing. Not every game has to be the same. I won't go as far as to say it requires more skill or whatever, I think the two styles test different things and you can't really compare them directly, but it's Different and I appreciate that.

Change the enemy UI color to sunshine or pineapple you’ll play better :)

ttk or sound isnt as much of an issue for me with this game but the radar being in the bottom left and out of sight somewhat is since im more use to it being either top right or left theres also this weird shit with melee lunge. idk if its a thing or not but ive had a few people just zoom into my face after we trade shield breaks

There is now ttk problem, people are just complaining because you can't kill 4 people per mag like you can in other FPS. Halo is just a game that has high ttk and new players just have to adapt to it.

So much of this information I have been waiting for! Also FYI it's 5 seconds for an enemy shield to start coming back so you have that much time to keep their shield down. 👍

My only issue is melee is so botched like I will be a foot away melee and basically whole screen is this dudes body cuz he so close but he backed up I guess enough to have me miss then he gets 4 ft away and glides the whole way with his melee and gets me . It's like is there a certain way to lunge further or a certain way to always make it go the distance (realistic distance ) does the jump help? Like if you jump but melee right away so you don't really leave the ground much does it help you glide further ? Like I'm constantly watchin and seeing myself get glided from 4-5 feet and I can't I evem get em from a foot or two it's bananas

I’m an og halo player who just came back to halo, having quit the franchise after I heard halo 4 wasn’t as good as halo 3. I used to be very good at halo 3, nowhere near pro level but would typically dominate ranked matches, especially when playing with friends from school. Before that I spent countless hours playing split screen with my brothers on maps like hang em high and blood gulch. Pre ordered halo 2 and picked it up the day it came out, and heavily abused the Bxr glitch. All that is to say I am an experienced halo 1-3 player. You have a way of explaining mechanics I manipulate but could not articulate, and that’s really cool. Subscribed

I feel there is less of a problem with TTK but more of a problem with specific guns, specifically looking at commando rifle that gun is garbage

Abusing the system? You mean learning how to play the game XD we all learned this without a KZfaq video and the struggle is what made us fall in love with the game. When you realize you've been doing something wrong and then fix it, your a god. You literally now have transcended above an entire tier of players. It's ana amazing feeling and amazing thing to accomplish in reality

In older Halo’s, didn’t shield break eat the left over damage from certain things like melee?

Ttk def isn’t a problem IMO. But the weird collisions and the melee trades are!!! Trading should be way more rare!

The TTK in Halo is what makes it so much better than COD or See First Kill First games. It’s the main reason I stay away from games like that too. In Halo You actually have to be good at aiming and having game sense to win in a gunfight.

i believe grenades do indicate when they hit an enemy. you will see 4 little lines outline your center crosshair when they make impact with an enemy. feel free to correct me if im wrong

I need a Mouse sensitivity guide for Infinite. My first time playing a Halo game on M&K and I'm struggling. Played Halo since CE and was pretty good but on mouse I'm garbage. I constantly ALMOST win a fight, crack shields, and then completely mess up and lose. Idk if my sense is too high or what. Tried low sense and still sucked. Idk.

It FEELS like it takes forever to kill other players in Halo Infinite because it doesn't actually design maps and weapons as well as the previous Halos did.

2:30 yes, yes they do, they may not display damage but they do display the hitmarker around your reticle just like bullets so you know when they do damage

Another way round the ttk is to stick with your team, more than one person firing at just one person reduces the necessity to be super accurate & wins the fight most times. Sticking together raises the chances of you of fighting 2v1, or 3v2, or 4v3, capitalising on any stragglers on the enemy team.

I think it should be slightly faster. The fact i put a clip of an air into some sometimes and they dont die os ridiculous. I played older halos and this feels so much worse ttk wise. Just up the body damage a tiny bit. Overall tho great game.

I can't help but laugh at referencing Apex showing numbers on damage, lol. People who don't know their weapons and shields enough, have no grasp of how much damage has been done unless they have a number to read :/ I personally like a game that rewards knowing details about the game.

I don't have a problem with the ttk itself, I have a problem with headshots not being rewarded. Basically it's not better aim wins, but better aim at the end wins. 90% headshot rate will lose agaisnt a 20% headshot rate simply because he got one at the end and the first didn't

Huh, I remember reading a paper about how the skill gap between CoD and Halo players is surprisingly large, halo emphasizes movement and on your feet thinking compared to CoD's encounters that auto aim when you ADS and that's about all there is to a general gunfight.

It's the collision? Whenever I melee someone I go through them and get confused, I never really thought of it being collision. I really thought it was the melee just being different than the other halo games

Back in the halo 3 days I lived on the melee, but only with my friends when we did local games....online....not so much...

My only question is how the hell do I get one hit killed melee when I have full shields

Audio is definitely a problem. Footsteps should be louder. Well you can clearly hear an enemy sprinting. But when they're just walking they're pretty much silent.

To all call of duty players, apex, , Battlefield, and even warzone. Halo plays very different than all other shooters. Halo is not a run and gun game like most FPS are. Halo plays different in every aspect, how and when to kill an enemy, when and where to re-position yourself, etc. Since alot of players are having hard time killing people, and claiming it takes ages to kill one, comparing it to COD etc, thats just how it is. You gotta land your shots, and then go for the head when the armor is off. Its always been like this, and will always be like this. So just play the game, take your time, and learn it. And just.. enjoy every game you play untill you get a hang of it - and you will. Its just more skill based to kill people in this game, but practice makes perfect. This is just what Halo is, instead of complaining about it claiming this game sucks and killing is so hard, etc.. comparing it to something like cod where its insta shot, your dead, is wrong. you’re just used to that, and not used to how halo plays. Like I said, play it, learn it and understand it, and you’ll enjoy. There is a reason that Halo back in the day goes hands down the best MP FPS shooter. And Halo Infinite have the DNA to become successor of the beat Halo’s ever played. Infinite is the best Halo since Halo 3 and Halo Reach. So, just learn it, like I said, and you’ll enjoy it and have a good time, I hope. 🙏🏽

It's like none of you guys played previous Halo games, Halo Infinite's TTK is a problem because shields start to regen too quickly. It makes the TTK artificially longer, there's no good reason that someone should be able to regen their shields multiple times while running away and around corners despite you landing all of your shots before they cut a corner and outpace you because they're still sprinting despite being shot. And the abysmal netcode doesn't help. The only way to balance this without changing the TTK would be to either knock you out of sprint when being hit consecutively or after taking a percentage of damage.

If you hit with a grenade you will see a small white x in your reticle I believe.

I've played Halo for 20 years I've never once agreed with the "higher ttk means the more skilled player often wins" That's an absolute joke and a lie. The more skilled player is usually teamfired and nade spammed by the 4 stack holding hands all game Thats all high ttks promote, teamfiring, not teamwork, literal dependance on your team to get kills. Its just sad having to hug your team 24/7 or be punished by the 4 stack every game lmao Thats not skilled Swat is more skilled than base halo
