The thruster pack is what made me love Halo 5 multiplayer so much. It was so much fun. The movement strategies were so unique, and there were so many ways to out maneuver your enemy. I even loved that crouching gave you ever so slightly faster sheild regen too, gave yet another level of depth into movement strategy. I wish they didn't ditch those mechanics. Hell, if Halo 5 was in the MCC collection, I would still be playing ranked FFA.

The aim assist pulling to the head is crazy, in counter strike I can pretty easily take a fight against two people and have a good chance at winning where on halo I have to have perfect positioning and movement and aim in order to have a chance against two casual controller players. The amount of work and effort that goes into beating casual controller players is rough. I think they should dial back the assist and let people miss shots. It’s ok to be silver lol. Mind you I started my gaming on Xbox with halo and call of duty doing trick shots so I’m aware of what it takes to become good on controller. But I switched to pc and love MnK. It’s hard to be fluid on mnk just as it is controller. It’s not easy to instantly pick up mnk and have fluid movement and nice flicks it takes thousands of hours on both to do so. But it shouldn’t be this punishing to kill someone who most of the fight doesn’t have the crosshair even on the target

The Ego thing is important. Low skill players aren't "shit at aiming" it's their game knowledge and tactics that suck. I'm fairly new to infinite but I've seen so many people comment calling low rank people "marine bots" or other phrases that just make them seem completely unskilled. I think I'm a BAD player, and I'm sure if I played ranked I'd be in bronze or silver, and I'm the best of all my friend group that plays. Yet even the worst of us dumpster odst and spartan bots. What I think I've learned is that the biggest different in low level and high level players isn't pure aim (at least on controller) it's a bit of movement, and a lot of "non conventional damage" (i.e. useful nades, and your ability with less standard weapons) and a LOT of positioning. Most people of lower skill aren't great with things like the heatwave, ravager, cindershot and skewer and at the lower level of play the team that controls and uses those weapons well dominates. Like seriously just the basics of controlling power weapons will win you games at low levels. I can't tell you the amount of times I've seen teammates bitch about "wow they got the rocket launcher again" yet when it spawned they weren't there to defend it. All that said, I hover between 45-55% accuracy (which apparently is about or slightly below average for MnK) and win duals all the time. Same with people I get q'd against, and ESPECIALLY when I face someone on a controller, it's NEVER accuracy, it's always angles and movement. I never feel like someone is a much better shot than me (again, except for long range with controller where the assist is just too strong for me to keep up with consistently) and it's almost ALWAYS game knowledge and positioning that beats me. I'm constantly saying "holy crap I'm so sick of trying to fight one of them and getting killed from somewhere else" or "jesus they're just all in there and we can't get into kill them without trading bad" or "and they have all the power weapons and are killing us as we spawn" I almost never get frustrated at losing a fight because I met a dude in a hallway and we had a straight fight and he was better than me, because I can't think of a time I just got dominated in a fight like that. And again, I supposedly have decent accuracy. You want more proof? Look at the dudes who make videos of "onyx player in silver/bronze/gold" lobby etc. They dominate, but it's rare they take a bad fight and just win. They're (almost) always hitting their opponent before their opponent starts shooting back. And if they get in a bad position they usually reposition before they fight, they hardly ever just "skill" their way through it.

Bungie captured the hearts of millions with halo combat evolved. Online was great, matchmaking was balanced everything was how it shoul be until 323 bought it. Now i moved to destiny 2 and Bungie has become a monster gobbeling cash for micro transactions while selling temporary content for hundreds... manufacturers only care about money fast and easy. They dont want a killer story thats repayable that you just buy and have. I feel like the gaming community has been totally betrayed by the industry. The live action halo makes me want to wretch.... its all going down due to greed

lol idk what everyone is talking about i use controller and the aim assist feels like shit in my opinion i can go to halo mcc and play just fine. when i get to this abominable halo game i cant even snap my crossairs to the enemy and keep them there i always end up moving to far to the left or right it feels like its working against me most of the time. am i the only one who feels this way?

A personal tip i have for running away, (which i end up doing alot) hug the walls and make tight unpredictable turns and switch ups. The enemy pretty much expects you to run straight everywhere. Don't do that. Run at angles. Learn how to traverse the maps like a scurrying cockroach. Lol

Okay not everything is supposed to be a BR15 so stop basing things off of whether their like a BR or not or if they can be used with a BR. Certain weapons are not meant to be a BR or be used with one.

A fully charged plasma blast from the plasma pistol with destroy a fully charged overshield, AND the base shield. Thats an easy kill cause typically someone withan overshield will think they can push with low risk. Proving them wrong with a plasma pistol and a headshot is super satisfying. Lol

A tip i got is periodically check your six. Gun em down and turn around. Also, if a fight is taking too long, even if im winning, imma dip. The more time it takes you to drop an enemy, the more time his homies have to come and flank you.

They shouldn't change anything, this should be the game where m&k isn't viable, this is the one game I can play crossplay and not be instantly cross mapped by three dudes with a sniper and go to then shotgun them and have them pull an instant 180 and headshot me. Pc audiences should be excluded, controller players are excluded everywhere else

Perfect isn’t without missing perfect means that every shot that you hit was optimal. For example now with the bandit evo you can hit them four times, miss your fifth shot but hit the next shot to the head and you’ll get a perfect because not a single bullet hit on target was wasted

Number one tip: have insane internet and 500fps. Number 2 tip: stop using broken melees. The amount of times I die from blank melees is sickening

Idk. You can’t rely on randoms until a certain rank. As someone that can get this high kills and still play objectives it’s a kick in the teeth to rank down when teammates have no clue what they are doing. Example- had 20+ kills on ctf. Ran two flags. It was tied 2-2 I ran the third flag back but was killed right before capping. My teammate had grabbed the flag and started to run it BACK to the enemy base while I was in respawn. Comms did nothing. He was past the 50 yd line by the time I spawned. Now idk if they guy did it on purpose or just got turned around and made a mistake but the enemy team ran flag while he did that and easily killed him before anyone could help. that’s the stuff I’m talking about. I went -8 for that. Why? Some random that doesn’t know what he’s doing and doesn’t listen to comms. 100% out of my control.

I have a question, I'm a new player, I'm playing with mouse and keyboard, but I do have a controller connected to the computer. but even tho I'm playing with mouse and keyboard, I noticed that when aiming to an enemy, I was being aim assisted, so why is that happening?

Every FPS game is dead to rights with these new hardware cheats. Completely undetectable. Competitive gaming will never be the same and there is nothing anyone can do about it sadly. Streamers cheat content creators cheat and nobody can do anything about it.

I'm the player (newcomer) who sucks at Slayer mode, but I try to keep to my mates to assist them, but in other modes, I'm the who steals the flag, who grab the oddball, who is in the area making points or defending the zone, the flag or guardian of the guy who holds the macguffin. There are plenty of sessions where I'm the only guy in my team who goes for the objective while the others are in "battle royal" mode. And I'm pretty decent at those tasks.
