I still can't believe it how modern Halo believes that The Chief is a character who needs to be explored instead of the world around him. He's a mythological hero thrust into a scifi setting, a demigod whose presence distrupts the schemes of a galactic conflict. Exploring the interaction between myth and futuristic reality is what makes Halo so juicy. The juxtaposition between the fantasy names and the scifi elements hints as much.

7:56 - yeah seriously. As far as I am concerned chief is just asleep on the dawn and everything we have gotten since has just been a weird fever dream. At least the show is honest in saying that it is a separate narrative from the games.

Well master cheeks has returned and most likely not wearing the helmet. Anyway won’t lie the covenant ships glassing. As well the elite taking out a few people is pretty cool. Maybe there is a few other cool things from the covenant. But the question is how bad is this dumpster fire going to be?

Oh, Halo, the once great franchise. Now it's nothing but bones picked clean by vultures. Maybe with the leadership change at 343, it will recover. But I seriously doubt that. Unless they completely strip it down and start fresh. Or if they are really feeling brave they can grab something from the 20 plus years of eu books that have been published. There is silver team and their many escapades. There is Kurt and the S3s (that would throw the casuals through a loop). And good story to boot as long as they ignore most of Kilo 5.

Yo, I'm watching all your content right now, and you've left me thoroughly impressed. The surprise and the almost Rian-Johnsonesque subversion that your current subscriber count is, disappoints me. Despite the quality of your work, you have not been rewarded, and I feel that such a thing can not stand. Keep up the good work, I'm subscribing to your channel.

The best thing about the show was the promotional ad where various Paramount TV characters sing the Halo theme. EVERYONE gets in on the act, from drama characters to Eric Cartman. The Chief walks away in tranquil embarrassment, of course.

I got to say my main stream jellyfish man halo 4 was awesome, think of halo 4 as the prequel trilogy to Star Wars

I think it's ironic to use MCC cinematics when they have no respect for the audio-visual cadence and superior cinematography of the originals, especially HALO 2.

Given how CBS/Paramount have treated Star Trek over the last 20 years, I suggest keeping your expectations very low. Modern Hollywood sees to delight in destroying beloved franchises.

Halo in general just seems to be something of a kinda by-gone era now. We'll never get anything coming close to a Halo Reach or ODST, or even a Halo 4, because I'm one of those weird people that actually didn't mind Halo 4 in that it fleshes out chiefs and Cortana's relationship in a good bookending for the series, which you can kinda tell that's where the overarching Halo story was really supposed to end, and for all intents and purposes it has because since Halo 4 we've had one terrible pay to win bit of crap and an endless live service turd in the form of Halo Infinite, out of which I could only muster about half an hours worth of multiplayer gameplay out of before my xbox live gold membership expired years ago and I can't bothered to renew it because there's just no point, and the campaign was a blithering nonsensical mess. So it's good in a way Halo now seems to be wrapping up, what few fans it had after 5 are now kinda giving up, which is good. It's the same for Marvel in a way.

I don't want to defend this show, but the main canon was already poisoned. The show is still pretty bad. But remember the game has had people at the helm who drove halo from a video game titan into the ground, with lies, retcons and other such nonsense. One small example I will use for those who hate the fact a Human woman is in the covenant. 343i retconned the Humans themselves being decendents of the Forerunners, something Bungie quite clearly intended for, and Humans being Forerunners was the sole reason for the Human-Covenant war being one of total annihilation of the Human race. It was to hide the lie of the Great Journey. Humans also earning the begrudging respect of the Sangheili being considered Honourable warriors is also one of the reasons for the great schism. As they questioned why the hierarchs didn't offer Humanity a place within their ranks for being capable and resourceful warriors. TL:DR Humans being at war with the covenant in 343s Halo made no sense given their retcons, and thus Humans in the Covenant actually isn't an issue if we're following Halo from their lore. Not bungies

I rather watch 2 Girls, 1 Cup than watch a single episode of Halo Season 1. Paramount is a joke in their television department, so glad I never bought a subscription.
